Source Audio Sorcerers Society (S.A.S.S) Part 3

Any update on the 5V cable adapter thingy to power the HH3 receiver off of a standard 9V outlet?

So I tried pressing and holding the "Option Select" button the other day (on a Manta), and I got into the "mode" that someone else described in one of these Source Audio threads, where the "mode" started jumping around randomly and discontinuously as you turned the knob. Power cycling set things right. I haven't tried to replicate the problem; I'm afraid to.

I should send a message to the contact e-mail address, but I do think SA should look into this.

I just got my Orbital Mod today and have a basic question. When I hold down the Option Select for three seconds and it goes to default settings, does it set the entire pedal back to default or just the Effect I have selected?

This is JUST for the Orbital, and we did it because on that pedal you can get things set up, spin the effects knob and get bad sounds. IT ONLY GOES BACK TO DEFAULT SETTINGS ON THE EFFECT YOU HAVE SELECTED and not the other presets.

Looking into it, as suggested!! Thanks.

Thanks for the reply.

And as a follow up, let's say I have all the parameters set a certain way for an Effect (for example, Chorus Quad). Now I change to a different Effect (for example, Phaser 4 Stage).

Do all the parameters stay in the same position they were in when the Effect was Chorus Quad? Or do they change to how ever they were set last time I was on Phaser 4 Stage?

So far, I like the pedal. I'm just trying to get my head around the interface.

Just got my Manta! Looks like a significant upgrade from the BEF, although immediately I thought of running them both and connecting with a HH through cable.

Question: since only the manta has the pass-through on the HH signal cable, it has to go first. If I turn the Manta off of HH control, back to envelope, for example, will any HH signals still pass through to the BEF? I figured I'd ask in case someone already knows the answer. If it works it will speed up my decision to buy the HH connector cable, or will any 1/8" mini plug stereo cable work to connect the two HH jacks? Thanks.

.

Yes, the parameters stay the same when you spin the effects knob. That is why it is handy to hold down the button. It will take you to a good collection of settings for each effect.

The settings on the Manta do not impact the signals on the Multi-Function output. The idea is to pass on the signal just as it came in.
