Is this a thing where the Whirlwind's Q varies based on the frequency?
The short answer is that the EQ2 requires you to set the bandwidth (Q) for each band, and adjust it based on what frequency you are at. You can set this up they way you like it for all 10 bands, then save this preset as your starting-point/default.
I think if you wanted to mimic this behavior using an external controller, perhaps you could assign frequency to a controller, and also assign bandwidth to the same controller-- so as the frequency goes lower, the bandwidth widens.
But if you are just talking about static EQ (and not things you want to adjust a bunch in realtime, you could set the bandwidths for the 10 bands based on their general frequency, and if you want to move to a higher frequency just choose a different band.
If you're wanting to set up realtime control via expression (one of the cool things you can do with the EQ2), then you can really dial things with the ranges & values you like.
