+1 to the honesty and cheers to @rsmith601. Nice to know there's some good peeps behind Source Audio as a company.

I already have a C4, but I also saw Dan and Mick give the Spectrum a run a couple days ago and am wondering if I should just bite the bullet on a Spectrum, too. As a filter junkie, I do enjoy having a dedicated envelope filter on my board... actually two currently, along with a third in my main HXFX patch as well. :cool: If I can recreate the sound of my Pigtronix Bass Envelope Phaser, that might push me over the edge to have both on my board. That'd be the real key.

The envelope phaser sounds in our pedals were inspired by those from the old Pigtronix EP-1. They are in the C4 if you want to check them out.

Is there a preset on the neuro app for the spectrum? I'd love a good envelope phaser and am not skilled enough yet to create it on my own. I was able to get a good envelope phaser on my Manta and really liked using that sound.

Also, can you use the C4 presets on the spectrum through the neuro app?

If I'm not mistaken, you can use Spectrum stuff on the C4... but, not C4 on the Spectrum.

Had all of these, the Emma being the best ! Spectrum eclipsed them all by a long shot. And then the octave and octave variations are excellent

Yessir, that's the idea! But since we're all being honest here... having the C4 is why I don't already have a Spectrum. I'll definitely be exploring the envelope filter section of the C4 further to see if I "need" a Spectrum. The envelope phaser sound hasn't been a huge priority, as I have the Bass Envelope Phaser on my board (and a backup just in case!), but having that sound in the Spectrum in addition to all the others might be useful to take the place of the Pigtronix. ha ha!

If there's not already a preset on the Neuro community, I predict I'll be taking a crack a Bass Envelope Phaser sound in the not too distant future... maybe this weekend if I can find time? Stay tuned.

You're correct. Spectrum presets work on C4, but not vice versa.

Dig in to the community presets, and find ones that are close to what you are looking for, then use the onboard knobs to tweak! Oh, and get a DMC Micro, your going to find way more than 6 sounds you’ll want to use. You’ll thank me later!

I'm not going to say that's a "hard no," but it's exactly why I've drug my feet on grabbing this Spectrum. After all the options & tweaks, at the end of the day.... I prefer knobs. Simple. And often, for me, less is more.

That being said -- you never know!!!!

I’m not the type to “deep dive” either, but there are plenty of guys on the Neuro community that are, and are good at it! You’d just burn the ones you like to the pedal, and turn them knobs!

Description
The Disaster Area DMC.micro is an ultra-compact MIDI Controller for your pedalboard.

The DMC.micro uses our advanced Gen3 technology in a tiny package – just 3.6″ x 1.5″ x 1.6″ (93 x 38 x 42mm.)

The DMC.micro user interface is incredibly simple – tap the left or right buttons to perform an action, hold the left button to perform a third “alternate” action, or hold the right button to advance to the next “page.”

Need more control? Use the USB port to interface with your computer or tablet device and turn the DMC.micro into a USB MIDI controller. Maybe you have a Zoom MultiStomp (MS-50G / MS-60B / MS-70CDR?) or a newer Red Panda pedal? Connect it to the USB port using our gHOST Adaptor to control it with MIDI!

you’ll need the hub, the dmc can only support one usb midi device. It would be best to put both of those pedals in the hub to handle all your scenes, then you’d essentially have one midi device to control, with the hub handling the settings on both pedals.
