Hmmm... May be easier said than done. Most C4 patches are synth at this point so there may not even be that many that would actually be compatible. I think there are currently 500-600 C4 presets and they'd probably each have to be tested individually to see which could port to the IF, and it may be like trying to find a needle(s) in a haystack. I'll poke around and see if I can find any that jump out at me, but... no promises.

That might be a fools errand due to the vast differences between the two. I tried to recreate a couple of my C4 filter sounds using 3 or 4 voices on a hurried Spectrum to much frustration. Even though those additional voices were mixed quite low adding octave of intervals they were much missed in the end product.

This is definitely a requirement as to whether or not a C4 patch is compatible on the Spectrum, since the IF only has a max of 2 voices. But that does mean that finding compatible patches may actually be quicker than I realize... If it's not a 2 voice patch on the C4, it automatically gets cut.

I didn't even need to watch the video to know the solo tone you're talking about... Been a big Snarky Puppy fan for a long time, and Sylva is easily my top fav SP album. OMG that solo tone! His sound for that solo was a Micro POG (or maybe even a POG2, I know he had one for a while) for -1, dry, +1 into the MXR Bass Envelope Filter, so it'd be killer if I can pull that off in just the Spectrum. I've always meant to try recreating that sound, so I'll definitely see what I can do. A good reminder that I should revisit that sound.

Reading the manual & quick start card.... but, I’m still a lil confused on the difference between the INPUT & SENSE

Is one like a PEAK? For quackier or smoother?

Same as with the C4 patch, Control 1 for amount of Drive, Control 2 for Distortion Mix. Much like the Distortion switch on my EHX Bassballs Russian for adding dirt to the sound... only better!

Interestingly, the Spectrum seems to be a bit darker sounding and I had to adjust a couple settings slightly. But the patch should get you started, and you can adjust to personal taste.

Just received my Spectrum a few hours ago. Read through the manual quickly and listened to some sounds. Getting some cool sounds already. Haven't looked at the app yet.

I have a few questions:
-why does it go out of alt mode after 6 seconds already? When adjusting the sounds and playing I need more time to stay in alt mode. Now I have to repeatedly press alt mode to adjust my sounds. Couldn't it be better so that you stay in alt mode for as long as you press alt again?
-when you go to preset bank B (alt mode) it only becomes active after you flip the switch. And the centre red turns red . But sometimes when you flip to the left (Tron) (in Bank B) it isn't red but green. Why is that? (edit: think I accidentally touch the input know when flicking the switch to the left...)
-Is there a way to only get the octave in the Thrust preset? So like with the OC-2 when you completely remove the direct sound to get that synthy dubby sound.
-Is there a way to get distortion/fuzz only without envelope and octave?

To add to Les' questions:
I've been working on my Bass Envelope Phaser patch, and there's still a lot of dry signal in the sound that I can't figure out how/where to dial it out, despite having the overall mix 100% wet. I'm using the 4-Pole Low Pass and 3-Stage Phaser filters, and it sounds like the phaser filter(s) has dry signal baked in that I can't adjust... Is that correct? The Pigtronix BEP doesn't have any dry by comparison.

Also, I tweaked that sound to my liking last night. Is there a way to save those settings on the app so that I could reload them if I accidentally deleted the sound on my pedal?

The Neuro Desktop is your friend. Anything on your pedal can be saved to your library in the cloud, or on the pedal. You can see all the settings.

Phone cannot read what is going on in the pedal. Its one way communication. Handy, but not for all things. Desktop is a bit less handy, but is 2 way communication.

This is good to know. Rather than start from scratch, I think it's easier for me to download a sound to my pedal, tweak it, then reupload it and tweak it more from the app. I'm not sure I could start from scratch on the app, but this makes it a lot more manageable for me.

Just played around with the neuro app for a few hours. It really opens up a lot of possiblities! Great that you can immediately load in other user presets. There are not so many Spectrum user presets now I think. Are there any other Source Audio presets besides the six that are installed? is there a list of all Spectrum presets?

I uploaded two presets myself (username Bodde). One is a nice phaser (called Phaser only) and one is an synthy octave only sound a la Tim Lefevbre.

Can someone from source audio maybe answer my first question as to why alt mode shuts off after 6 seconds already?
And also if it's possible to completely dial out the direct sound and only hear the octave on the pedal itself (it can be done with the app but I can't get it done on the pedal itself)
