Target date for helo launch no earlier than 08 Apr. I'll wait as long as the 9th, but come the 10th, they're getting a nastygram from me. :)

SN11 Launch Live today! (I hope!)

Static Fire first, possible launch based on SF outcome.

Siren sounded - 5-8 minutes from Static Fire - fingers crossed!

Static Fire complete! Looked good, waiting / hoping for recycle for flight!

They still haven't cleared the pad after the post-static-fire checkout, so it's not all that close yet. I'm staying tuned in to one of the live feeds, I'll update here when it gets close to launch.

Anyone here know about how Intellectual Property flows with these commercial programs?

Do these contracts mean NASA then shares existing intellectual property?

For example, with this new Commercial LEO Destinations project. Obviously, NASA knows a whole lot about building space station modules. Will that intellectual property be shared with the company or companies participating?

Another example. Dragon Capsule. Is that 100% SpaceX intellectual property, or is that a combination of SpaceX and NASA intellectual property?

Final example. Thinking about one of the hardest challenges - heat shielding. NASA has done a ton of research on materials - from Gemini to the Shuttle. Does that research get shared with commercial partners?

NASA's mission has always been to share it's technology and research with the private sector, scientists and the public. As it should be as it's publicly funded by our tax dollars. I believe Dragon is SpaceX's alone as it was their money that built it.

Well, NASA did kick in quite a few dollars to Dragon's development, but it was under the commercial contract, so yeah, I'm thinking Spacex retained IP rights.
