I counted 31. That's crazy! Is this the biggest build off ever? It must be.

32 it is. I'm in too. I'm gathering parts and woods. I have everything except truss rod, fret wire, neck screw ferrules and strap lock pins. I'll try to take a pic of what I have when I have all of the wood at home.
Plan is something along the lines of MIMF plans, headstock will be different.
- flame maple/bubinga stripe/ rosewood fretboard, 34" scale, 24 frets
- mahogany body
- Gotoh 201 bridge, Schaller M4 tuners
- Seymour Duncan active dip switch jazz pickups
- oil or nitro finish, neck propably oil, body nitro

Getting materials and changing one's plan is totally fine, happens a lot

Geez, I rarely peek here into the Luthier's Corner, let alone submit any of my parts-basses for a build-off. I think I'd feel like the kid at the science fair with the baking soda volcano while everyone else is showing off "room temperature nuclear fusion", "50 megawatt lasers for fun and profit" and "splitting infinitudes with homemade black holes".

In uncertain times, it is good to know you that have something to participate in that is certain, building basses in the Luthier's corner!

For this Special Edition build off, our theme will be "Build em if ya got em".

So, what is "Build em if ya got em" and how does it apply to this build off?

Our rules are simple:
Build what ya got:
· New from scratch
· Finish the unfinished
· Use reclaimed materials
· Tweak and/or modify
· Collaboration
· Adopt a project
· Minimum diameter for lowest pitch string is .084"
· Whatever you can make happen.
· All points in between

To enter the build off, simply start a new thread using "Special Edition Build Off" as part of your title, and start building. In your initial post, provide a picture of your starting point

For those that already have a thread for an incomplete build, either rename it or create a new thread

• Please name the all manufacturers of products you are using when posting.
• The build off will start Thursday, March 26th, 2020
• The build off will end on Sunday, June 21st , 2020, 2:00pm GMT -6

Voting will start immediately after the close of the build off

I ask that you please put a link to your build back to this thread so we have a central reference point for all of those that wish to participate

You can join when you have time, and you can enter as often as you like.
