I used to order strings from TPB.com because I was in Louisiana and regular shipping was next day for me. I now only buy my strings from Jason at bassstringsonline.com. The dude has the best customer service, prices, and he ships...FAST!

Physically, you just wire two 9 volts up in series.

I was going to try it with the MM114. I just didn't know if there was an easy way to do it or not.

It was per set. I'm using a 145-125-95-70-50 set on my Bongo 5HS tuned ADGCF. It cost me about $30 plus shipping. I priced the same set out at BSO and it looked like it would be about $25 a set.

I haven't priced out my other sets I use yet. I've been using Dunlop Nickels on my Euro 5LX which they don't carry, but I may switch from those at some point. I've tried the Lo-Rider Nickels but wasn't crazy about them. I'm not a fan of stainless steel so if anything I may eventually try the XL's on the Spector too since I use them on all my other basses save for my other Bongo and new SR5.

My son and I do that "Mr. Spock one eyebrow thing" at each other when someone says something or we see something ...um, odd.
Like "A Korean NS-2C, made in USA" would be contradictory.
I was just saying that the neck plate says "Made in USA" and "NS1340" was the serial number on the plate.
Since I was on my droid and I have not seen the neck plate on a 2C close enough to read it, it seemed odd. Like another end of the Kramer era throw together.
But coming with a tweed HSC, that's a great deal!:D

I just called MightyMite....
They said the MM114 is .. 9 Vdc ONLY. 18 Vdc will fry it.

Holy Crap!!!!! Thanks for the heads up Trace!!!! Looks like i'll just be rolling 9 volt with it. Again, thanks Trace!!!!!

PS-Everytime i see the "Trace" in your name it makes me want to test a TE amp!!!! Gosh i wish they had one near by for me to use with my Spector!!!!

Ahh...
Someone else also asked what the phrase "general concensus" meant and I guess I just lumped you in. Sorry.

We never came to anything definitive on the bass,
but an NS2A prototype as he's now claiming sure does seem to fit the bill.
