I don't need it, I don't need it, I don't need it...

Yes you do! Yes you do! Yes you do! Yes you do! :D

Keep this on the DL but I will make a slightly better deal for a Spector club member. :)

Already? Dude, do you keep basses for longer than a day? :) Just curious what you thought about it actually since this isn't one you really don't see too often.

I traded for this one pretty much knowing I would sell it. Why? Well, for one, I'm not really a set neck/neck thru guy. I like bolts! Another, I have gotten used to natural necks and I really prefer those these days.

As far as what I think of it?

It's a Spector and it's a great bass. The matte finish looks KILLER and I really dig it. If the neck were an oiled finish, I don't think I'd let this one go. It's got a maple body so it's got some heft to it and that comes thru in the tone. Even though it doesn't have an active preamp or pickups its still Spector sounding. Just a different vibe is all. I dig the tone a lot actually!

Bass StringOnline vs. Just strings...(get it on!!!!)..let the best ma win!!

Got to love these guys!! :bassist:

I would contact Jason about this. I know his sight says that he matches Authorized dealer's prices as long as they aren't close outs.

Even if BSO is more expensive, he charges a flat rate for priority shipping and it's actually priority. I always get my strings from him in 2-3 days. Always.

Just strings charged me for priority shipping and sent them to me regular mail. Took over a week.

For me it's more than cheap prices. It's also customer service and shipping that play a role. :)

I haven't bought strings from BSO yet.. but I have bought cables and a strap from him... great service!

I've bought cables and straps there as well! I'm not sure if he has them listed on his site buy Jason is a Levy's dealer. I contacted him about ordering a strap and he informed me he was a dealer and could get Levy's or Planet Waves. He may have other choices as well, but Levy's has a strap I really dig so I ordered a couple of those.

EDIT: OK, monkeywrench: Besides the fact that NS2A's always had black hardware (A fact I overlooked thinking this was probably a prototype), upon further inspection these tuners are Gotoh's. Anyone know how far back Spector began to incorporate Gotoh tuners? I thought this was a fairly recent (last 5-10 years) development in Spector history. How long has Gotoh been around? I didn't become aware of them until the early 90's.:hmm:

My NS20004 has Gotoh tuners. Unsure what year it is though, can I tell by the serial #?

Sam, did you say the neck is fatter on the Forte compared to the Euro?

The Forte is thicker front to back then my Black Euro4 LX and much thicker front to back then the NS-2As.

But my new Blk Cherry Euro4LX just so happens to have a thicker neck front to back and it is similar to the Forte. The Forte is flat on the back and the Euro is rounded on the back.
