So has anyone had the finish gradually come off their gold bridge on a Euro? Mine is only two years old and I'm noticing some dull silver showing through on the corner closer to the pickup. I play with a pick so it's possible the bottom of my palm is making a lot of contact there. Must be my freak sweat - kills string zing in hours!

Just posted a pic of my amber NS2000/5... man I love that bass. I was wailing away on it through my new SM-400 and it kills. I made a little adapter so I could run the EMG-HZs at 18 volts and I really dig the difference.

Yes it is a good buy , but not for me . It's a 34 scale neck . May be the only reason it's still there .

Yeah, mine is doing the same thing. Have you noticed a little dulling of the gloss finish on the wing above the bridge where your forearm hits? Mines doing that too, but, for now, it buffs back to a shine.....oh well, play em don't display em, right?

Floppy on a 34 to me . A lot of players in our club say they notice no difference between a 34/35 scale Spector bass . That bass has some awesome wood !!!

Yeah, mine is doing the same thing. Have you noticed a little dulling of the gloss finish on the wing above the bridge where your forearm hits? Mines doing that too, but, for now, it buffs back to a shine.....oh well, play em don't display em, right?

Not the same thing, but the spot where my forearm hits the bubinga top on my Legend has been buffed to a glorious shine beyond the rest of the bass. It's pretty funny haha.

Oh I can. The B-String on the 35" models besides having less flab also has a little more punch... a little more clarity.

I really heard this clearly with the Coda-5 and the new Coda-5-35 at NAMM. There's clearly a little more articulation to the B-string on a 35" because with the added tension the vibration pattern of the string when the note is played is tighter. It translates the frequencies of the note more precisely.

I've never played a 34 scale Spector , however have several other makers. The only 34 that I like the B string on are warwicks , please don't flame me ! The fenders , musicman , ibanez , schecters and some others have just been bad . That's why I stick with spectors for my main gig basses .

Just got home from hearing Grendle's band play tonight. His little green Spector is more than just sick.....she sounds amazing and feels like you wouldn't believe. That is a sweet little bass.
