Good to see you back Seventh! Gotta love the healing/relaxing power of a Spector!! Congrats on the show! If you ever come the states, mainly the Nashville TN area, let me know! I have greatly enjoyed the sound clips I have of your new band!!!

My best to you and your wife as she heals from her surgery! get her healed so you can get back to rockin' out!!

If I ever break my leg or arm, I'm taking the neck off a Legend, Rebop or US bolt-on and using it as a splint.

I actually held the NS-2's headstock against her cast and plucked away on some open notes I say I should do this for 10 minutes 3-4 times a day and she should be healed in no time!

That is awesome! Great job! What media did you use for recorder/mix?

thanks man! it was just the Spector>Mesa400+>AggieGS212>SM57 into a FastTrack Pro into protools MP9. Didn't EQ anything in the mix except the guitar. I did put a tiny bit of compression on the whole thing so I could get the mix a little louder in the end.

the more I listen to it, the more I realize I've never had a better sounding bass/amp combo...

the EMG 35p and 35j are p/j pickups in soapbar casings... Ice has them on his forte5 and Iwill be putting them on my rex4 soon enough...

and I agree the is a great bass

Yep the come in the 40 and 45 casing too I think. Your not stuck with DC's in that case

....and..
The coils inside the 35, 40 and 45P are in the reversed position just like Spector mounts/routes for the actual P.

Ok Im a believer now, really getting in touch with my ns2000 4, you dont have to change much as far as bass, treb, blend and gain to have a big impact on the sound. I think when I want a slightly edgier sound this will be my number 1, if im doing something that will require a thicker earthier sound my Warwick will get the nod. Dont think I will ever sell either of these two basses, very cool!

^^ This. I did this to my Euro5LX. Oh and by "I" I mean Sam made the connection for me and sent it to me and I put it in. In a nutshell it made my bass sound meaner. No problem with overpowering the amp or anything like that.

Yep! I've done this to 2 of my basses now with the latest my Forte 5. It does make it sound meaner! Haha Good description Rick.

Loving the "Powers Slinkies" BTW!!! It adds a snarly growl with clarity to mid-hi's and highs.

Anyone local to New England, the Music Mill in Manchester NH has a Coda-4 in blue with a tort guard for $1399 with OHSC. I checked it out and other than a couple of dings she's a beauty.

This community is awesome... we are a big family and there is more useful info here than any other club i've been in. Going 100% Spector was an easy decision.

At last night's rehearsal I played the Euro5LX-TW with both pups in single coil mode and it sounded great. It seemed to cut through better.
Usually I have the bridge pickup in dual coil and the neck pickup in single coil with it's volume turned down just a bit. With both of them in single coil and full volume it just seemed growlier.
