Being a previous REX4 owner, I've long wanted to compliment my Jazz basses with another Spector. One of my hangups has always been the rosewood board - I'm a maple guy. Seeing that Spector MM with the maple board and black inlays has me GASing hard right now!

Yeah it's been a life changing pain in the a$$. But mostly I just try to enjoy the times between the surgeries as much as possible. Really, that's all I have to work with. I think it's all made me a much nicer person. I still have a raunchy sense of humor, but I go out of my way to be good to people when I can. I figure there's just too much crap in the world, so why add to it? it's not hard to be nice. I'm not saying part of it isn't from the pain medication ;) I'm just saying its easier to be nice. Sorry for the tangent folks! Back to obsessing over material objects...

I got it from Larry Robinson. He does the inlays for the anniversary models, top notch work.

It was $130, but it looks awesome. I have 2 of them, one on my NS-4 and one waiting for my NS-2...

Thanks :) I really do love the feel of the bass and once I put the Sadowsky Blue Nickel strings on it, the tone was much better. I originally had DR Lo Riders on it but for some reason, I didn't like them on that bass. I had them on my blue Euro though and they sounded amazing so it just goes to show how much of a difference strings can be.

I do need to get rid of that OBP-1 though in the bass so my plan is to swap it with an EMG BQC. The actual model of that bass is the NS-JH5 but I am not sure if they call it that anymore since it was made in 2002.

I like the OBP2 and 3, but have never really liked any boost only pre's like the OBP-1.

good to know about the strings! I may have to try some sadowsky strings soon. I am a big fan of trying different string manufacturers!

my main issue is I enjoy EXTREMELY light gauge strings, and not many manufacturers make the gauges I prefer to use. (35, 55, 75, 95, 120)

Well thanks to a Fedex SNAFU, I have to wait until tomorrow for my NS-2A! :crying:

Oh well at least I will be that much more excited when I finally get it, now that I'm done raging at Fedex.

Their 1-800 number is the worst phone experience I've ever had, instead of a phone tree (meaning: dial 1 for this option, dial 2 for this other thing...) it was a computer asking me to tell it what I wanted. It was a very dumb computer that had no idea what I said at any time. Go UPS or USPS, kick Fedex to the curb!

Is it tomorrow yet? :hyper:

I just got off the phone earlier because my new monitor was supposed to arrive today but the tracking did not update, they said it was because of the holiday, so it's tomorrow for me too. It's not a bass but I lost one of my big monitors last week and I have been hair-lipped ever since.
You would think they could find an IT tech that could compensate for the holiday. Bunch of tards!

ok guys, the sound was AWESOME. I really appreciated the techs job and I now know for sure that Spector marries Ampeg as a perfect pair....no comments. The first words heard from the sound engineer were "Hey, that's how bass should sound" and that was very encourageing. They emphasized how my Euro cut through and overall band sound vs what they heard before.

Nice! Any pics of the crowd? Sounds like your audience was huge - I'd love to see a crowd shot taken from the stage.

unfortunately we can't shoot pictures from stage when we're playing:) these are taken by my friend off stage, but I'll attach some pics that I made from outside where you can see the field and a stage from distance. I made these from parking when we were leaving.
