I am so sorry Chris. I know everyone was hoping for better news. Please know that you've got my thoughts and prayers. You beat it once, you will beat it again. The Spector Club says "F$ck Cancer." If there is anything that I can do, please don't hesitate.

Chris... my life is simple and easy.

I'm in the midst of a mere midlife crisis... not an ACTUAL life challenge.

I take my (apparently) good health for granted and have no comprehension of what you will be going through.

I truly wish you a full and complete recovery.

+ a billion (- the mid-life crisis thing that is :hiding: :ninja: )
We have a lot of people here who have gone through some difficult medical issues, and i think it's pretty cool how our love of music and these basses has brought us all together here on this board, and how we can all support one another. Chris, Lima, Smadder, JPS, et al.- you guys all rock! :bassist:

Yep. The Monolith.

I know, I know. :rollno::scowl::scowl:

The Geek Police already showed up at my house and took away my new-in-the-box Millennium Falcon and my vintage X-Men action figures after they burned all my comics and pissed in my Xbox. Terrible, terrible mistake. Obelisk... what a sad and horrifying blunder. I'll never be the same after this. Never. There's no easy way out. There's no shortcut home. There's no easy way out. Giving in can be wrong (anyone get that reference? Anyone?).

Pele...that sounds outstanding!!! I love it! are you still using the OBP-2 preamp?

Thanks, much appreciated. Yup, still OBP-2.

Love the Tone. I remember that "Clean Growl" that the OBP2 gives in the Forte. Even though I love the Haz... I loved that Tone also. :bassist:

Don't have any experience with Mixcraft to suggest for you.

Thanks, love the Forte! The one thing, and only thing that bugs me is that it's a bit on the heavy side. But, with the comfort strap, I forget about the weight, lol. You're a Pro Tools guy - what unit do you use for the I/O - I have a Tascam USB.

A DAW that won't break the bank...check out Reaper

I will check it out thanks.

And you know how we were talking about Ampeg stuff earlier?

Is $799 a good price for an SVT CL?

No, I'm not buying it. But I'm curious and maybe someone here in the family is hankerin' for a hernia....

Seems to be. There is one local for that price but needs tubes and on for 1k...

Thanks man. So results today, my leukemia is back. I started chemo today and will have it all week with the next 2 weeks to recover crom the chemo. It will knock down the leukemia hopefully enough so I can go to Mayo clinic in Minnesota and have a bone marrow transplant. I will be there for around 3 months. Lots of time for some "Spector Healing" and woodsheding. Hopefully my NS-2 will be here by then and I can have lots of time to get to know him...

Thanks for all the support guys, it means more to me than you will ever know.

All the best - Chris.

Hey Chris. Really sorry to hear what you have to go through again. Be strong and know that we're all pulling for a speedy and full recovery.

Incidentally (not to get all preachy) but if anyone is interested, you can get into the national bone marrow registry with a simple cheek swab. It takes about 5 minutes.
