That is all too common with daytime Fedex residential deliveries. They basically assume people aren't home and leave the tag. Thankfully my fiancee works from home so whenever I'm waiting for something that requires signature she watches like a hawk.

I know how that feels, so I tried something new.

Today, I was in my basement and can't hear the doorbell, so I left a note for the UPS guy on a Post It and said "UPS, Please leave shipment 1ZX.... at the door. Here is my signature." I signed it and dated it. I went upstairs at one point, opened the door, and there it was, just sitting there. Surprised the s*%$ out of me!

I know the feeling. I work out of my home office so I'm usually around but there is nothing more irritating than going to the kitchen to grab a sandwich only to find out that they've come and gone. The last bass that I had shipped here I intercepted mid-way, and had them hold it at the local Fedex storefront. At least then I knew when and where I would connect with my new precious. :ninja:

Not good for a lot of transactions like ebay where paypal has to match a shipping address but amongst us hens here in the Club (where we know each other), it could be a good way to reduce the inevitable Fedex irritation.

What pre-did you order? Was it a haz? Are they Shipping yet?

Each and every transaction is unique and requires your authorization. the only "automated" transaction I have encountered is my eBay fees to be withdrawn from my PayPal account, I had to specifically authorize this (I set this up). This has been my experience using this service for the last 12 years and over 1000 unique transactions.
But I know PayPal did not always have this policy and different users have different requirements depending on length of service and other conditions, but not in this example.
I'm not disputing anyone's experience, but this withdrawal should not have happened based on their conditions.

They didn't "withdrawal" they just put a hold on it.. Maybe that's a loop hole they have?

Any club members have a shuttlemax they would like to trade for an NS20004 with 2 sets of emgs(dc's and pj's) need to get a backup amp. Pm if interested, I have an ns2a in white also if that floats your boat.

I got them installed but I need to have my bass properly setup before I give a final answer. It has just been crazy lately so I haven't been able to dedicate enough time as I would like to get this going. My first observation is they are a little thin to me since I am used to thicker strings but I really want to test these out since I have the Sadowsky Blue Nickel ones installed on one of me other basses but they are thicker.

That really sucks. They don't give you the option of going to pick it up at the Fedex office after a certain time? These lazy guys do it all the time so it's to the point where I leave a note on the door telling them to leave the package and I authorize it and sign the note. Now I work from home too and have had this happen to me before which just infuriates me but the note trick does work for me with the driver in my area.
