Well I applied the color stain/dye a little while ago and it turned out good. Not exactly the color I thought it would be but close enough. I don't want to add another coat of stain/dye cause it might get to dark. I will start applying the Tung-Oil on Sunday and that should help the color and grain pop really good :bassist:

Lookin' good! :bassist:

It's about 10 years that I own this fantastic NS-95 fretless, can I have a number? I also had a twin in red fretted, sold some year ago to a student of mine. Thank you!!

Man, the NS-95 is SaWeeet!! I had a red one a couple of years ago. Regret selling it. :scowl:
Brother Coop has inspired me. Haven't refinished anything in a long time. I got this beautiful Euro from one of the finest guys in the TB community, Jeffplaysbass. The sensible thing to do is to leave it alone, as its quite beautiful the way it is. I've become a huge fan of matte finishes.Never been too sensible. so I'm gonna go for it.

At this years NAMM, I was struck by this matte finish, Burgundy Mist.

So that's the plan. The solid brass bridge will get the black oxide treatment. And the tuning machines in black of course. USA 9V pre and it should be nice.
That burgundy mist is the bomb! :hyper: You sure know how to pick the right colors! I like the black oxide too! :bassist:
Spector NS-95......great basses!!

+1! Gorgeous and black! Congrats! These NS-95's are coming out of the wall all of a sudden! :bassist:

Oh, thank you guys.
I guess "NS" means shape, and does "95" means it's Korean made?
Also designates it being a 5 string. Just as the NS-94 is a Korean 4 string.
Thank you! I also found an old pic of the red twin! With Kent Armstrong pick ups, killer sound!
Looks like my former NS-95 trans red. Beautiful!

Finally back in the states and played the forte for the first time today and its amazing. Absolutely love it. The tone, the feel, the playability. Flawless! It will take a little bit to get used to the neck compared to my Wimbish, but I think it beats the Euro all day. Just got my number one weapon for rockin!
Welcome back to the states! :hyper: Didn't I say you wouldn't be disappointed?! :D Awesome Ampeg rig there! :bassist:
Is that a black NS-2000/5!? PRETTY!
Yes it is! Thank you. I'm looking at the pics on my iPad and can't believe how grainy they came out. :ninja: That's okay because ill be taking better pics once she's cleaned up. There's only just a couple very minor nicks on that's surface.

Yeah, it really is! If you take a look on the previous page I attached a pic of my red one, the fretted twin. BTW my NS-95 was produced on Poland I think, not on Korea.

Nice bass! we need more NS2A's around here!
Would LOVE to join!

I really need your help here Spector fanatics. I have a Euro 5 LX that I bought and it had been modified to have active pickups and passive controls. I added an Aguilar OBP3-pp/sk and now I need three "standard" black knobs and one "stacked" as my bass and treble are stacked. Can anyone on here tell me where i could get a set for this setup.....a matched set? Any assistance would be most appreciated. Thanks!!:help:
I'm assuming your looking for stacked knobs that match the standard plastic spector knobs. I've never seen those. I'm not sure they exist. Bestbassgear.com sells knobs that work well with the aguilar pre. I bought some for my modulus that has stacked knobs.

Really Poland??? Not seen that yet.

I remember not too long ago it seemed like everyone on here had a NS-2A. Lol
Late to the party already but in!

Oh and we posted a full song from the album - the lead track:

Divinity Compromised - Children of a Dead God

Thanks again to everyone who has picked up a copy!
Bunk, loved your short bass solo on track 3! :bassist:

I have to say, my NS-2000/5 gives my ReBop a run for its money. The ReBop has a bit more grind than the NS, due to the TonePump pre in the ReBop, but the NS-2000/5 plays silky smooth! I'm very impressed with it, even if it is an Asian import. :)

This is some great work, I really want to see it finished!

My wife and I were out walking our dog and I was on the lookout/listening for the UPS truck. When we got back to our home there was a BIG box sitting on our porch. Surprised that we didn't hear the truck! We were never more than 1/2 mile from our home. :eyebrow:
Anyways, here's a quick couple of pics. I haven't cleaned it up yet but she looks pretty darn great for its age. I'll have to wait before playing it as I need to leave in 15 minutes and go play Soundboard Engineer for a wedding rehearsal at our church. Hey, easy money for more Spector goodness! :D :bassist:
I'm really happy with the free bass MOLDED HSC the GC manager threw in! IT'S in great condition! Ill call and give him some kudos. :)

I'm glad you got it in time for the Sunday service, let us all know how it played!

I'll post some of the photos of the Burgundy Mist NS-2 I took here in my studio a little later.
Been under the gun all day...
