They're definitely pretty but your asking prices are on the high side. Fortes, both 4 & 5 strings, can be had for less than you're asking on the Euro 5er. I'm not (intentionally) trying be obnoxious or thread-crappy. I've sold a couple of Euros recently so I do have some experience with them. (I sold a green Euro4 a few weeks ago for $1100, which is much rarer color; they've been going here on TB for $850-$1150 more typically). Just my experience so take it for what it's worth.

It took me a minute to calculate,but I ive dropped at least $2300 on various models in the past 3yrs. $3400 in the past 4yrs. I had a beautiful trans green Euro5 that I shouldve NEVER let go,but it was 11lbs and I was stupid...
Ive been thru some great Spectors and wish id had the money to keep all of em,but working at GC for the past 7yrs hasent been exactly lucrative to buy and sell them more than one at a time...Im at Sam Ash now!
ANYWAY,i wasent calling anyone out with that post,I just feel like the Coda's are the ONLY cool Jazz bass style instruments worth praise in here,and Warwicks already have a club...Although,I admit openly wanting a Thumb Bass one more than one occasion,Im sure alot of folks have.
Im sure you have dropped alot more coin than me,But Im not sure I understand why Jeff?

Ha,and spent $50 on the SSD logo tattoo on the back of my right arm 4yrs ago,the main problem Ive had that kept me from asking for a club member # has been uploading pics of my Spectors and anything else Spector to this forum...I dont have a digital camera other than my phone,and Im not sure how to do it even then.
Lets just say Im not the most technologically advanced member here,LOL
But I do have some tasty pics of my Spectors,from the past for sharing when I figure it out!

If you have a smart phone you can download APPs onto, download "PhotoBucket". You can upload pictures from your phone onto the APP and then share them on our club page. Believe me when I say, it is novice proof! It leads you thru the steps you need to take.

Oooooh YES brother!!! I have GHS Precision Flats lights on my Coda 5XL Jazz bass and they sound smoking HOT!!!

You've got great taste in mods TK, from the finish, to the knobs, to the pickups and everything you just turned a good bass into an absolute knockout. Who would've guessed that the quilt under that original thick dark finish was that nice looking?

So out with one Euro 435.... and in with another!

This is the Ian Hill 35 with the detuner installed that had been on the classifieds for a while. Since I sold one of my 435's to NOLA and the other is going back to Cory that would take me down to zero 435's.

Now, I'm a sucker for that classic gloss black look with the gold hardware and the 4-string headstock, which is why I grabbed Jeff's Kramer. But after rehearsing with it twice, no matter how good it sounds and feels, the scale was throwing me off. Every other Spector I have is 35". So when I saw this, I thought here's the perfect way to have that classic black/gold look but in a 35" scale. Sure it's not a Kramer, but I'm confident my forthcoming NS-5XL with the US 9v and 40P5 is going to get me really close to that sound. And plus I love the TP in these 435's anyway.

How's that for rationalization!

Hey, and thanks for the note. Honestly I had not priced them here. I have just been to busy to pay much attention, I jumped on basscentral.com and ebay and looked at new ones. I want to sell them, not look at them here at home lol, so I JUST dropped the prices a lot. Posting this on the Spector page in case someone is Jonesing for one or two. Thanks again!

Thanks! originally I wanted to finish it in the color of your old Plum Wimbish but I really like the color I ended up doing it in.



I strung it up with some GHS Pressure wounds and it really sounds great with the TrimPump and EMG 35 P&J's
Been playing it for a couple of hours now and I'm hooked on the tone ..even though I don't play fretless bass. I'm really glad to have those fret lines

On another note: I got word today that my Spalted Wimbish will be here by the end of next week (fingers crossed)

Thanks! originally I wanted to finish it in the color of your old Plum Wimbish but I really like the color I ended up doing it in.

On another note: I got word today that my Spalted Wimbish will be here by the end of next week (fingers crossed)

The plum is a great color for sure, I'm sure that the spalted is gonna look killer and the Wimbish profile will make it even harder to put down.

Nice! I played the Faux Forte at practice tonight. Sounded and played great! I was surprised to find the neck profiles different on the 2 435's. i figured they'd be identical.
