How about some USA Bolt On love?!? Kind of a shame these are somewhat overlooked.

I concur. The 18v mod that I did to my Forte was probably the cheapest and best update I've ever done to any instrument. Fast and easy, like a redhead I used to know back in the day.![]()
Yet for my Spector bass 5 string playing I need the 12" and 15" for a practice rig to get that B string lower frequency. And it don't sound muddy even with the bass at 100% on the pre and treble at center detent. However...with the Coda 5XL having the Aguilar OBP 2 I have the treble at 75%. I get some grittiness that way. I miss having the OBP 3...

Most if you remember my NS2J had quite a bit of fire damage and I brought her back from the dead.

With my Forte that I think I am going to keep around a little longer. Thought about selling it, then changed the stock OBP-2 to 18v. Someone might have to pry this out of my hands now![]()

That's a real nice tat of your mom. In memory of her? Hands down the most gorgeous Forte ever!Me and Mom and my "No frills, all tone" Forte4.
And...who's is it then?in!
This is not my bass

It does sound awesome @18V doesn't it?!In..

I need to mod the OBP 2 in my Coda yet, to 18V.I just love that woodgrain the way it curls at the end of the Fingerboard where it marries the body! Awesome looking Spector bass!!!In with the Redwood and the whole family....

Beautiful basses everyone. I have to say, now that I have had a taste of a US Spector, Forte's have made it to #1 on my (realistic) SAS list. Something super sexy about the no frills, all tone. Like a hot girl wearing all white cottons. LOL
Thanks! Bass Maniac had the first Bahama blue W/Maple FB NS-5 and that lit the fire for Bahama Blue for me.That Coda looks sweet, blue and maple are nice together!
He seems to have a lot of sway with PJ & Stuart to have special one of a kind basses made. Can't comment on the bass but Jesse at "the high studio" is a top notch guy to buy from!!!!...he will take care of you!![]()
Your black 5 string is nice but the finish on that Coda is just unreal! It almost looks superimposed in the photo. You really need to be playing this thing on a beach in one of the Corona beer commercials. Maybe Patrick can photoshop you and the bass into a beach background
I suspect it isnt happening anytime soon but if you decide to off the Coda be sure to PM me first.
She's an amazing bass for sure! I like what someone said about it being a Jazz bass on steroids. That pretty much sums it pretty good. Can't wait to hear her on 18V!

My old Forte5! Bye bye! Finally, a chance to get in at the beginning of a thread, and post my best Spector (sorry, no family shot this time!).
Good thing I am, too - this one looks to be going to Alaska!![]()
I will miss it, but a US-bolt on in 'Wide 5' config is going to replace it - so there's a happy ending...eventually![]()

Club member getting it?Those are some gorgeous USA Bolt-ons! BTW...My Coda's a BOLT-ON too.How about some USA Bolt On love?!? Kind of a shame these are somewhat overlooked.

I use a Hartke 4x10 cab with aluminum drivers. My Low B is tight, responsive and defined. I found that using a 15 was muddied and lacked the definition I wanted.
When we travel and will be gone for a week I'll take one of my Spector basses and my Acoustic B20, 12" combo rig. I think Acoustics is way under rated and they sell for a real decent price. I may look into their bigger rigs when I buy a big bass rig.OOOOOOh, I think I know what your talking about...hehe![]()
