I run everything just about at noon except for the bass which is tolled back to 11 oclock. Didnt really matter how I set it up though it was way hot without the pad in. I also had to go from cranking the input volume up to 3'clock and dialing in the low master to running the low master higher and the input volume lower. Just a totally different animal then Im use to.

The digital flipbook is generated by our printer, and they do that right away, since it gets done about the same time that they load the files for the print job. This means that they often beat our webmaster to the punch, which is I guess both good and bad...

With regard to issue #11, I think that there's a bit of an issue with our Art Director getting our webguy the exact format/size files that our webmaster wants, but I'm riding them pretty hard to get this sorted out. Sorry for the delay... :hmm:

In addition to the online flipbook version, the iPhone/iPad, Android, and Kindle versions (which are all free, BTW), should be up and running.

Adam, try this...........don't run your pre or gain (whichever your amp has) in the normal fashion where you crank it until it starts to clip and back off a bit. EMG's run HOT anyway and the tonepump is hot also......try using the master almost wide open and use your gain as a volume........your toone will be clearer and cleaner and you can use a pedal to get grit. Think of it the same way as running a PA.........juice the power amp wide open........then use the gain or pre knob as a straight volume......try it, ya might like it........... those DC's have alot of power by themselves at 18 volts.....you will not be able to crank the input or gain like usual as with your fender experiences.

BTW what amp are you using? :bassist:

The amp is a GK 800RB through a Neo 212 cab. Thats what I had to do plus engage the pad. Its got tons of power and punch with just enough grit. I still have my MXR M80 and a MXR 10 band eq if I need to tweek it a bit more,

I also have a line on a few cabs. 610HLF for $300, An older 70s flat back 810 with no tolex left on it asking $300 and a newer tilt back 810 the guy is looking to trade for a guitar. I sent him an offer. Ive got a few guitars I can let go for it.

Trying to catch up here - been a busy past week.

Congrats to Lee of course on the artist endorsement. Seems like a no-brainer!

Had one of those shows Saturday that makes you really wonder why you do this LOL.

So I found out about a week ago we were actually going on after the headliner, so somewhere between 12:30-1am. Great. So really no benefit of playing with the headliner if their crowd leaves when they're done. We had a chance to retain a lot of the 100ish crowd, but of course we had a major technical issue that delayed us almost 10 minutes after we were announced, and we had to go without our backing symphonic tracks. We also had to cut our longest song because of that since we had never played it without the click and backing tracks, and I was afraid it would fall apart in the middle where there are no drums. We didn't need more embarrassment!

On the plus side, the 30-40 who stuck around were very active and it was great to see people we didn't know singing along with our original stuff. And my GK rig sounded badass with the Webster and the B3K. :)

I'm sure everyone has had one of these shows before. Hopefully this serves as a big wake up call for the band that we can't just skate through shows. Playing with a click is a big commitment and you have to have a plan B and plan C in case things go south.

Hey bunk, how are you running your b3k? I just got mine like a week and a half ago and I'm still discovering new settings I like!

Sounds like an interesting gig too. There was an open mic night I played with my old ska band that got delayed a solid 90 minutes because the venue forgot to hire a sound guy, I remember we had to send vocals through someone's keyboard amp! Lol but we made it work, and the crowd was really skankin'!

I feel your pain. When I was touring in the late 80's early 90's we did this many times. The club owner (without a word to us) books a concert act into their nightclub for a night, during a week we have booked, but the act doesn't play until 1:30am or later so then we follow. Did that with many bands like Blue Oyster Cult, Foghat, Molly Hatchet, The Outlaws, etc. We even did it with Mariah Cary for her Sony debut party in Dallas. Oh and Gary Richrath (REO Speedwagon)? :spit: This guy had the balls to come into our stage setup, ask to use our PA and lightshow and then had the nerve to say we couldn't use any of OUR backline lighting after we take the stage! We told him to get his own PA and lightshow... then he backed down. :D

OK, I need some clarification on this. I hear many users of the BK3 distortion rave about it. But at over $250 for a distortion pedal :confused: I don't get it. Seems like an awful lot of money. That's what I paid for my VTBD and it's programmable with effects loop and other features.

I'd like to understand... Talk to me. :help:

I've owned probably 20 different od/dist pedals. To me, it is tone, period. The B3K blew them all away. Just used it in the studio yesterday, amazing.

My brother has one. He's had it since 91 or so. It was originally black. At some point he stripped it to natural and we were surprised at the quality wood selection hidden under the black paint.

I like it for live situations were I can blend the OD and my clean to keep the lows. I have a couple OD/fuzz pedals that I like better for that purpose, so recording I prefer running a clean and dirty signal seperate and blend in my prefered dirt. It still sounds nice recorded or live. I'm not sure why it is so expensive but I don't regret buying it too much.
