Well... I bit the bullet and ordered a B3K. Hopefully I'll get a tone I like, but if not, should be able to sell it. I like the idea of blend knobs as I want to layer on top of my fundamental sound. Like Lee said, it's something you just have to experience, so I will. :D

Nice, I like the way you think.:D Yeah, that blend knob is pretty sweet and the OD tone of the pedal is really, really nice. Goes with Spector's like peas and carrots.

And, like you said, if you don't like it you'll be able to sell it in 2.2 seconds.

I'll admit that what sold me was the video on the website with demo clips. I really liked the last one.

In my experience, overdrive and distortion pedals have been trickier with my Spectors. I've tried plenty that were good with a P Bass, but not so much with an EMG powered bass. However, the B3K sounds so good with a Spector! They are the perfect match!

Just as a bedroom bassist, my MIK model is pretty spectacular. Of course I'm a nonpro and haven't been on a stage since 2002, so eh. Its tough getting a new bass any better for that price that's for damn sure.

You guys have seen this before. It started out as Sam's, and then Donny's natural gloss JA-R. I got it from Donny, and despite the beautiful grain on the top, I had my friend Chris Bavaria refinish it in Gretsch Cadillac green. I added a black Leo Quan Badass bridge. These originally came with chrome Badasses. Next, was adding a Spector Tonepump preamp to replace, the overly polite to my ears, EMG BT. After that came an ACG-02 filter based preamp. Very cool. Lots of tonal options. In a moment of financial woe, I had to sell it. Fortunately I sold it to one of the nicest humans in our Spector club, Dave(Ubnomar). I was recently able to buy it back from him:hyper: The journey continues. I bought a gold Badass I to use in an upcoming project. I got to thinking that it would look good with the Cadillac green. That's what Gretsch does :). What do you guys think? Gold hardware or stay with the black? Normally, I am not a fan of gold hardware, but in this case I like it. :rolleyes:
