Hey man! Yeah I was worried maybe I made a mistake not ordering the black MOP inlays since I thought a dark inlay might look better against the color, but those look perfect to me. It's not premium quilt but I still love the figuring as well. I like the kind of "X'ing" going on there.

Yah, that's some cool figuring on those wings. Very nice. Unique!

Andy, Sorry I didn't make it the other night (morning). My wife kaboshed it when I told her it was after midnight. Next time!!

Have you tried La Bella flats on a Spector? I just put a set on a p bass. Pretty nice.

No I haven't and I've heard great reviews. Everything else I've tried though doesn't give me THAT sound that I'm listening for.

I have the coolest office in the world for about 2 weeks each year (the week before and after NAMM).

OK, I'm starting to see the allure of an office... My delivery vehicle (office)would not be a safe place for all that ART, unless of course...
It was safely cased, wrapped, and boxed...
I'm really starting to understand the value of multitasking/multi-skills...unfortunately, I play bass on the occasional weekend, and then I pick things up, I put things down during the weeks...

Thanks for the help with the strings! I can't wait to jam out to the Flatwounds. I'm probably going to record a video of me playing after they get broke in.

Just as a bedroom bassist, my MIK model is pretty spectacular. Of course I'm a nonpro and haven't been on a stage since 2002, so eh. Its tough getting a new bass any better for that price that's for damn sure.

I have used one for abiit 6mos now and Lee is right the low end is retained and it sounds great. I'm thinking of moving to the b7k and have even more versatility

Please let me know if you decide to move on to the 7 and want to sell the 3. I would love to have one. I keep missing the ones that come up for sale.

Nice! I love the contrast between the top and the fretboard woods. It's so cool to see the subtle variations from all of the various combinations of wood types.

(Insert joke here about all the types of wood, maple, redwood, spalt, tube, morning, have-to-go-write-a-problem-on-the-blackboard, er...never mind! )
