hey adamThats to much work.
Anyone have gold hardware from a Legend I can trade for black or buy out right ?
The Spector site just says Legend style. They do look almost identical to the Gotoh GB7's used on the US basses, but hopefully someone who has actually used a detuner on a Legend can chime in.

Just something to be aware of with the gb7s. They are fantastic tuners, easily on par with the Schaller m4s. (Stock on all of the US series basses, incidentally.). But they require reaming out the peg head holes so they will fit. I have a really good reamer from stew Mac if anyone wants to borrow it. Makes a nice clean wide hole. Cue beavis voice.![]()

Hey guys, due to unforseen circumstances I had to throw my Euro 435 up on the block. It's posted in the classifieds. If a club member wants it, I will lower price a little. Thanks.
I thought these were offered in two different shaft sizes. Am I thinking of a different brand?
...heh heh... He said shaft...![]()
I seen that thats a bummer.. Hopefully everything works out for you brother
hey adam
i'm only going to be using the bridge from ebradfordrich so if you want the tuners I can send them to you when I get them or we could meet up when I take my dad to foxwoods
Im way south of Foxwoods but Id be more then happy to at least pay shipping. If they dont work I will pass them to another member.
Hey....I like the bass you have in your picture!
Yup, that's yours in my mockup of what mine will look like with the ebony fingerboard.

In. Late.... But in.

It's been a very busy & interesting past few weeks. Lost our drummer for our original metal band 3 weeks ago, and auditioned a young (to us) drummer last night who is awesome - we'll see if he comes back next week, but it looks very promising.
Meanwhile, I got a call from the church 2 days ago asking if I could play a wedding ceremony on the 5th, so I've been woodshedding 6 songs I'd never heard before for that gig....
And yesterday was just plain fun - physical therapy for my frozen shoulder in the morning, cholesterol bloodwork at noon, a visit to the dentist for a crown after that, and the new drummer audition that evening, where I did my best to play well & hide the fact that I was feeling like death warmed over....
I'm glad it inspired you to complete a build. It inspired me as I seen it on the Spector facebook page before it went to the 2013 namm show and I also wanted to make a trip to Tulsa to see it after PJ told me it would be shipped to the Guitar House (I wanted to listen to the BEM board before purchase)....but...I found out it was sold! Then when David first put it up for sale I asked him about it only to find that it was put on hold, then he pulled it from the sale. On father's day which is also my birthday I came home after playing at church and eating lunch to find that David once again had #813 posted for sale...I couldn't believe it was available and this time I sent him an email that sounded like I wanted him to be sure of his decision only to find out he was, and at this time I was also because I had been saving very hard thinking I would eventually wind up with a used NS2 or possibly a Forte...and the following day the purchase was made, everything landed into perfect order for me and I hope for David as well....my Spector story!
Just FYI, I'm the guy he put it on hold for so I could gather the funds but he changed his mind before I could. It worked out for me because at that time I also contacted Todd and discussed the cost of building a NS-2 in Ultraviolet to my specs. e.g. Ebony fingerboard and custom hardware. I'm very partial to ebony as I played basses with them from 1989 - 2011. As it turned out Todd gave me a very temping quote about 5 minutes before I got David's PM telling me he changed his mind. No brainer. I got back to Todd and said let's do it. I'm getting the bass I want and you got the bass you wanted. "And once again the world is spinning in greased grooves." ... Another Spector story.
Sigh... Now I'm in hurry up and wait mode, standing by for my two dream basses. At my age I've complained how fast time marches on, but now it's not passing fast enough. I guess that makes me feel young again so who the hell am I to complain!.![]()
Be VERY careful reaming the headstock tuner holes. Trust me. The clear coat finish is brittle and will pull up is your not careful. I used one of these StewMac Reamers with my modded preamp knob holes and it pulled the clear coat.
Use with caution and go slow, don't force.
I want to know when the Chris Kael sig is coming out ? Ive gotta have a white one.
