I had one but sold it with my Euro in:) I'd buy some now but Spector site says they are unavailable at the moment and I'm not sure at all even if they had some if they'd ship it to Moscow...

The site said that a few months ago too. I e-mailed asking about availability and it turned out they were in stock. Inventory just wasn't updated. And I love the Spector gig bag. Best $50 I ever spent.

Yes, I also had an idea that they had not updated their stock system thus I emailed them, waiting for a response now. Strange but their sales dpt has kept silence for a week already, I sent them inquiry about replacement truss rod nut, they still have not responded. Doubled the message to PJ but he also keeps silence. Strange because he used to respond very fast before...

I had an iGig for a while, loved the inside, how you could move the neck cushion around, but I didn't like the "bat wings" on the outside of it.
Now have a Protec Contego that my Euro 435 currently resides in, I think that's a very good all-around bag.
I've heard many people like the Mono bags, but I've never owned one.

This one looks good! But the site says it's 8 lbs...

OK... I got an answer from Todd on this. He even called PJ. Short answer?

No. They're not set up to work with that body style with a bolt on neck... Sorry. :bawl:

I thought it was a good idea myself and so did Todd. :D

*grumbles loudly*
I don't want the existing contoured body (it's too flat for me) & I don't want the weight of a neckthru. *sigh* But I want a Rebop style body with custom pickup options. I know they won't do it in the Czech shop.

Well, back to the drawing board for my dream bass. :(

Actually I believe there is a certain flexibility for custom orders from the Czech shop. I still think an email to PJ with your desires can't hurt.

Is there a reason you don't want to try the 40P5 with the soapbar housing? I think it sounds very close to the actual P/J pickups and it's reversed the same way.

I plan on it once I'm closer to being ready (I don't want to waste his time, now) , but I'm pretty sure they won't do a P or J route on a ReBop. They're all soap bar. :(

It's not so much about the sound. It's the look. I want the look of a bolt-on NS-2, but 5 string and fully carved.

what does the ultra violet look like on a lit stage i wonder WOW
I'll see if any of the stage pictures I have will work, they always seem to cast funny colors or change the lights to violet because of the bass! lol
he cant just look at your s and say HOLY GRAPENESS BATMAN ...and by the way all he has to hear is it is ULTRA violet not regular violet:bassist:
That's right, we are probably going to give the poor guy Ultraviolet shock!
OMG...I wish I did not see it...I thought I was SAS-free. lol
Sorry....
Did somebody call for UV porn?

Sorry. Can't resist. :D

NOW YOU DID IT, it's Ultraviolet shock for sure! lol

Hey...someone just asked for a stage shot, great picture Bunk!!!

True, but compared to all my other basses that are housed in wooddie style hard cases, the Protec is a breeze to haul around.
So for me, its light. I usually don't, but If I ever get a gig that requires me taking a bass on an airplane, that's the bag I would use, very compact to get into the overhead bin. If you go lighter than that, you're talking one of the "sleeve" style gig bags that offer virtually no protection.

When you get close to doing your custom build get with me and I'll see if I can work something out with PJ for you. We have a great working relationship!

I definitely will. :)
