If I had a soldering iron with me, I'd just ditch it here on the gig and run the emgs by themselves.

Keep your eye out. A lot of people will ditch their trim TP in favor of something else. I think I picked one up used for around $50 a while back.....

I'm swapping my non-trim TP out for an EMG BQC, but not because of the output level. I like the tone control of it, but I usually leave it at 0. The TP growls.
Hi all. I am loving my "new to me" Spector Euro that I bought this summer. I have noticed though that the bass will completely kill a 9v battery within a few weeks even if not plugged in. I have gone through 3 batteries already and the bass has really not been played much. Its like the Tone Pump pre amp is always on no matter what. Anyone have any ideas? I understand the preamp was removed by the previous owner and re installed when he sold it but everything looks clean and original inside.

Second... It sounds like the input jack wasn't reattached correctly. IMHO

You have a wiring issue, most likely with the terminals on the jack hitting, or the wires touching somewhere.

Definitely a wiring issue, my Euro has had the same battery for months and sounds as great as ever. Pretty sure I could play it acoustically with a good mic up to the strings and it'll still sound incredible

Mid switch 4 on my PF-500, and to about 2 o'clock. No idea which frequency that is.
I'm going to have the ability to tweak my bass's midrange once my BQC is installed, though.

Just read some singer/guitarist's comment on a guy wanting to learn to play bass and asking about the different types. The guy wanted to know the difference between a 4 and 5 string, the nutcase said "People who have more than 4 strings on their bass shouldn't be playing bass!" Made my blood boil. He should have both his musician and man card removed. Shaking my head in disappointment.

I boost around 600hz and dip slightly on the 900hz on my Ampeg SVT 4Pro, gives a sweet little ring. Euro 5LX.
