I have a 9/16th drill bit and a drill press and am not afraid to use it. Although i would prefer not to drill out the peg holes.

I thought I would share a few stills from the music video we shot last night. Its a halloween video and we are targeting to release on Halloween (maybe a preview for my spector family)
So as we were talking about the fact that there ARE deals out there, I scored a hell of a deal on the 'bay for something that I've heard is a PERFECT partner to a Spector.
An Ampeg tube amp! I scored a late-70's V-4B in decent condition for $600! Considering the re-issues cost a pretty penny at $1300, and the vintage models usually sell for around $1000, I was waiting for the re-issue to drive down the cost of the old models, when I saw this new listing pop up, and I couldn't resist that deal!
For those unfamiliar, the V-4B is the little brother of the SVT, 100 watts through 2, 4, or 8 ohms, not a wall of sound at that wattage, but perfect for anyone who doesn't play huge venues (I generally only play bars/small clubs so it is perfect!) and at 60 pounds is a bit lighter than the beast that is the SVT, and cheaper too!
Hopefully next week I will be another of the members here raving about the tone you get when pairing a Spector with Ampeg tube goodness!

Congrats! I really wanted one of those but I was afraid it wouldn't be loud enough for my guitards battling on satge
I have a 18v preamp coming and I'm debating between DC and CS pups. I am selling an amp next week and I need to wait until I have that money first. What are everyones thoughts? The CS is suppose to be more "traditional" sounding. I have a fairly aggressive tone, but I also like trying new things. Let the opinions fly!
Hey guys! Thinking about ordering a Hipshot D-tuner for my Euro 4LX and noticed that the description says "retrofit". Does this mean i have to modify the way it mounts? My last Spector was an NS2A and that tuner was a direct replacement. Love to hear from anyone that has done this swap....
NS2As used standard Schaller M4 tuners. The Euro 4LX uses M4 screw lug 90 (as it says on the schaller website). I haven't done the swap, I just know they're different.
You might want to contact Spector if nobody here chimes in.
Dude! I've been playing thru a 71 v4b for almost 20 years! I recently had it re-tubed and service by a amp tech (it still had the original tubes). Its a big boy amp and incredibly loud for a 100 watts. My other amp is a SVT II, It might be 3db louder than the v4b. I think I prefer the tone of the v4b, its clean and thunderous. In my opinion, the v4b loves a 4 ohm load and big cabs. A 810 cab is perfect, I use 2 4x10s. I think you're gonna love the amp! It sounds great with Spectors!
ReBop is a bolt-on Euro vs. the other Euros that we refer to i.e. Euro 4 or Euro 5 are neckthru. Personally I've had both, like both...the NS-2A with the Haz copy preamp gets you closer to the USA NS-2, IMHO.

First impressions. Well, it's a jazz bass, nice narrow neck, smooth, easy to play, well built, great jazz bass tone. Haven't really played much with the TonePump Jr - it works ok, but might upgrade to regular TonePump. Fingerstyle and slap both sound killer on this.
Awesome. I'm so glad someone in the club jumped on that deal, and that it shipped lightning quick! Took every bit of will power for me to not buy one.
