I got some more mixes back from the studio. Man, I am so happy with the way my black Euro 435lx that I modded with the US18v sounds. It really changed the way that bass sounds (much closer to the NS4 not surprisingly).

Oldschool, badass bridge & the pickup's not reversed, only 2 controls, 2 switches (what do they do?), no inlays, and the tuning pegs are slightly offset...

It looks like a brooklyn era too. look at the flat surface where the fretboard meets the body.

The Kings were formed in 1977 and broke up in the late 80's but are back together. They're from BC, Canada. The bass player is David Diamond and it looks like he's been playing that bass for a really long time.

This video of their 1980 hit "This Beat Goes On/Switchin' To Glide" (sounds typical of the time) covers a long time period and I see three basses. The Spector is what you see the most.

I sent them an email from their website asking about it. We'll see if I get an answer.

That's a late-model NS-1.
Originally the NS-1 had the hexagon shaped cover that went over a DiMarzio P-pickup.
When the NS-2 was created in 1979, Stuart did a few batches of NS-1 models (along side the NS-2) that had routed P pickup bodies that precisely fit the pup instead of the larger hexagon shaped route.

Did you play with the O/D ? Its got 3 tubes in it. You can get the Overdrive up pretty high before it starts to sound like to much.

Im wondering how it responds to different tubes.

Oh...derp...I was thinking of the LH-1000. No tubes in that one. >.<

Throw a set of JJs in it!!! That thing should howl!

LH series has 1 tube but no gain knob. This is pretty much an LH on steroids 500watts per side, 1000 watts bridged at 4ohms. Now I need a speakon cable to bridge it !

I wonder what the NS1 would sound like using this new amp! both are very nice!!!!
