My fellow Spector brethren,i turn to you in search of help.I am currently lusting after a bass being sold by another club member, but alas i cannot act on it until i sell my Rebop 4MM.If any of you know anyone looking for one of these basses, please send them my way.Thank you to all.

I'm in the same boat with my Black Cherry Euro. Have a potential trade on the table right now but if it sells for cash there are two US made basses club members are selling, and I'd love to be the next owner of either of them.

So many Spectors for sale in the classifieds and most of them are priced below market value. It's a good time to be a buyer I think!

I put one of mine up for sale about a week ago. Not much interest. fair priced I thought. O'well if it doesnt sell I wont cry about keeping it.
With the Holidays being upon us I know it's holding me back from buying until afterwards...might be the same for others?:eyebrow: But who wouldn't want a nice Shiny Spector under the tree Christmas morning, right?!?! :D:bassist:

Very interesting video No Treble posted. This is a rare opportunity to see Jack Bruce playing a Spector.

Very NICE:bassist: Too bad the guitar gets the most video time and just blips of the bass. Jack was laying down some really great licks! :bassist: Thanks for posting John!:)
Well I finally got to play my ,new to me again, jar through the big rig with full band.

The Jar now has a tone pump installed. I don't know where it trim is set, but it sounds great. I used it the entire set, and even with Spector Nickels Medium strings down tuned to drop C# it sounded great. The bottom end is very tight and the TP lets it get huge if you want. I like a tight low end without getting too big.

The dual Jazz pups are something special, and definitely react to the effects more clear. My chorus just screams with this bass. I'm a happy camper that is for sure. :)
COOL!:bassist: J/J pups do have their special tones.:bassist:

Ever wonder what string type is under the Black Nylon Tapewounds strings? No? Well I was curious:p So I took a slice out of the tape to expose the string. Well...Stainless???

Anybody looking to add a Spector to their quiver, see the link in my sig. I have the price set about as low as I can, but I'd be willing to negotiate to a degree to get it sold. Shoot me a PM if interested for the "club" discount.

Quite a few different things...Tech 21 BDDI and XXL, Darkglass B3K and Vintage, Aguilar AGRO and Tone Hammer :bassist:

My experience so far has been that passive pickups interact MUCH better with the Tech 21 gear in particular

I agree 100%

+1

My Paradriver couldn't handle active pickups at all.

The Para Driver does have a lot of boost so I have lowered the volume of my amp and blend in the Tech 21. we have also leveled the channel on the board plus buffered that channels signal...still playing with it in a pre amp mode with DI to the board.
