I know I keep commenting on this, but I have not stopped listening to Trailight all day at work. What is really blowing me away is how well the "spoken" parts (prerecorded bits from famous and not famous speeches and interviews with a variety of figures for those that haven't heard it) integrate into the music. I can honestly say that it really far surpassed my expectations of what it would be. I just listened to "Unity" again and was amazed how perfectly timed the music and spoken word meld! Omer went way beyond just slapping some bits here and there, that is for sure. "Now I am Become Death" is another standout to me!

I tell you, so much amazing talent on this board! Andy Bunk's Divinity Compromised is a great CD. The Defy Tolerance videos that have been posted are really impressive (I have not ordered the CD, but am going to correct that today). It is inspiring to be on here with you guys cranking out such great music!

You nailed it! The first thing I noticed was how well those spoken tracts fit into the music. We all appreciate a good bassline, but the songwriting and production are just amazing!

I feel honored to be included in that comment. I think what is really cool is the variety of styles just with the 3 bands mentioned. Spectors really just work, but i think i can speak for all of us here when i say that this community really drives us to put out our music. I talk to a lot of you guys outside of talkbass and that is really cool.

A lot of the club members have basses that are for sale, even Todd has some of his collection for sale which can help you get into an American Spector.

Thanks for the reminder on Donny and Bunk. I just went to Amazon and bought Stop the Bleeding and A World Torn. I'll order Trailight when I get home so I can download on my computer. Gotta share the love. (already downloaded Spillway)

You know if the environment where you keep you bass is relatively constant/stable then the neck shouldn't move very much.

The truss rods in the NS-2A are pretty sturdy. If you've never adjusted it, the adjustment bolt could be locked into place. Just sit the bass in a stand and use an eye-dropper to put 1-3 drops of penetrating oil into the center hole of the bolt. And let if sit a few hours. Then try to move it.

Don't use a standard flat head screwdriver. You may want to invest in the Fender Truss Rod Driver. It was made to fit perfectly into the slots on that bolt.

If you put a fair amount of pressure and the bolt doesn't give way, then try some more penetrating oil.

Let me know if you decide to do this and if so, how it goes.

Get one Ice!!! I love my fretless NS-2. It sounds great and is a ton of fun to play. So glad I held onto it. Here's a track I did for a friend of mine. It was a quick demo & unfortunately never came to fruition. One of my favorite tracks I've played on.

Thank You Patrick, I'll keep a close eye on it during the next few months to see if anything changes during the dry winter but I think the neck is petrified or something...it has not moved in all of the years I've owned it, I even stopped playing for a few years and had it in the case under the bed and when I pulled it out the thing was still in tune! lol...somebody just picked the correct wood combination or it's back to the petrified, solid as a rock kind of thing!!!
