I looked at your photo spread on my phone yesterday. Just got to a PC. She looks dirty. And I mean that in a fun way.

Not at all... sorry to disappoint. She's actually a very nice girl. 1/4 Italian, 1/4 German, 1/4 Irish, 1/4 Spanish.

Very exotic looking. And really, a very professional and high-demand model. She won't do nudes, etc...

She's just naturally very sexy. The fact is it's business. That's all.

Hey Adlerburg, your old Forte-4 #002 is available for sale over on Bass Central.
It's not there... it's over at Spector in Woodstock. I originally bought it from the guys at Bass Central. That ad was not taken down obviously. I'm sure if you called them and asked for 002, they'd tell you it was sold (to me!).
YOu want a later one as I was told there were some finish issues in the first models, but that was sorted out.

Yeah, I think of it like new cars. You need a bunch of them on the streets first to get the bugs ironed out. It sounds like you have though. Spector should pay you for R&D.

Where did you get the aluminum knobs, p'up covers and especially that truss rod cover?

The ebony truss cover:
TRC Cover ask for Mike.. good guy... he's got the spector NS2 TRC template there so it's done quick

p'up covers are stock EMGs

and as far as Spector paying me for R&D... they have, but supplying me with this beauty!

Hey everyone.

I posted a question in the amp section. I figured I'd make a mention of it here.

If any of you have opinions on an outstanding amp head for studio use... I'd love to hear your suggestions.

Thanks!

Hey JP,
I really love this BBE BmaxT. It's a tube pre with an onboard soft knee comp as well as their maximizer high/low. I did some recording with my Forte 4 into it over the weekend.. man, this thing rips. I love it. You'll obviously need a power section if you want to mic... but the built in DI gave me a smokin' recording
Bmax-T

I was going to get my son a Rebop as there is a great deal I found. Then I came across this...
I play Fender Jazz bass's for the most part......I recently bought a spector rebop 4 string czech rep model. I hate it! The thing has zero low end compared to the fender and I just cant play it.

Are they that horrible? They have a tonepump in them which is a pretty hot pre. I have read where folks hate those EMG-HZ p'ups.. I'm just really concerned as I was about pull the trigger on it, then read that post. Zero lows compared to a J bass????
Anyone have anything they can add? I realize it's not in the same ballpark as my USA Neck-Thru, but it is a Euro (bolt-on) Spector... one would think still a fine instrument?
Thanks guys.

Aguilar DB 750 or 751. Great heads, I hear the 751 is cleaner and more dynamic than the 750. It has all the features you mentioned in the other post.

Mick, check out John Montagna's videos on YouTube and decide for yourself. He plays a ReBop. It definitely has more growl than a Fender Jazz bass.
A rebop with those emgs are what originally got me hooked on Spector basses... That bass must have either had a wiring issue.. Or I call troll!
It's very hard to get a bass with Zero low end...
+1....I call BS....I have had 3 ReBops, and there is no shortage of low end. He must've had one with a wiring prob.
Thanks guys... and $800 seems like a smokin' deal. The guy just has it a few months, and is now looking to upgrade to what I have... the Forte 4. It's like brand new.
And I guess if it really came down to it, I could replace the pups with active ones.... and still have a good deal on a Euro Spector.
