Very nice looking ReBop Zebra. How do you like it? I still want to try a ReBop.
I have to say it is the best bass I have owned. Went I first pick it up the neck had just alittle to much up bow for me so I had to adjust it. Recording wise, cause thats why I bought it for studio work, it sounds amazing. The engineer that usually work with tells me every time its the best sounding bass hes recorded. All he does is plugg it straight into his avalon. I have elixirs on it right now and with those strings the bass is like playing butter :D

Alright then..

G#
C#
F#
B
E

All strings down 3 notes.

if your "B" is dropped to a G# then thats why its tappered like that.. if im getting what youre saying..

here's a pic of my bass drop tuned to C...you can see the purple on the low C is below the nut..
i should have just tuned up for the pic but oh well.. it doesnt hurt anything..

Yeah my B is fine. They're all fine, just BARELY though. EADG would have the purple directly on the nut.

Now the only issue is my bridge is too small to fit the B properly and it won't intonate for crap 35 cents off..

Dropped tuned or not, the silk on that "B" strings should not be that far off from the other 4 strings. I drop my B to A all the time and it doesn't come close to anything that looks like that. I know your bass is 35" scale also. Looks like you have a LS B with a SL 4 string set.

Whether you want to believe it or not, if it's the bass in your avatar it's 35" scale. You need SL D'Addarios. And you're absolutely doing something wrong with your bridge. I've used strictly D'Addarios for nearly 30 years, mostly on US and Czech Spectors and have never had a problem with the B or any other string (hell, I haven't even ever had a dead string from them and I estimate I've been through 350-400 sets). Something isn't right here.

those are ken smith .115-.030 (.115-.050 4 string set and a single .030) so i guess its like a "E" dropped to a "C". if that explains anything.

It's just that to be is too thick to fit through the bridge, as it was with every other bass I've had. To fix that I have to put it in at a very sharp angle.

god this is beautiful.
how much did this cost you?

Thats an Euro LX5 aint it? Not an all maple Euro 4, but the colour, oh yeah! hehe. I'm more a 4 string guy.

Yeah, sorry. I was showing the color, not the string config.

Euro4 models are no longer all maple. They haven't been in a long time... like 7 or so years.

This is a new guitar in the photos. Just arrived in the US this week from the Czech factory.

Stuart and PJ are calling it a "Blue-Black Burst".

I'm not sure if you can order a Euro4 with solid maple wings any more. You may have to order a USA model to get what you are looking for.

You might want to contact PJ Rubal if you are looking to get one. He can tell you if you can order a Euro the way you want it. Like I said, you may have to move up to the USA Series to get the solid maple wings.

His email is mailto://[email protected]

It's a beautiful bass... for sure.
