Ok, so I found out that while I was out of town for a few weeks a local musicstore here in Stockholm has lowered the price on the pricetag on this Spector significantly:

Never mind the pricetag on the pickup
It's a US NS5-XL, from 2001. According to PJ Rubal @ Spector, it has an EMG preamp, as it is a boost/cut one.
I'm gonna go there tomorrow to haggle a bit, and see if I can get the price down to 13.000 SEK (before the tag was lowered, it was 23!). 13k SEK is about $2100. A bit much, but these basses are very rare in Sweden (this is the only US one I've seen, EVER), and I've been looking for a great 5-string for a while now. This Spector has most of the features I look for, which is a good B-string, punchy sound, and neck-through.
I might wanna replace the preamp with an OBP-3 though. As I am used to 3-band preamps, I'd feel naked without it....
Woah, this post got longer than I expected when I started writing...
I just love how Spectors sound recorded. Very fat, but yet slicing the mix like a MF!
Oh, and Garry Tallent used his one-of-a-kind shortscale Spector on the double gig I went to. It sounded very nice.

. The bass on sale was on consignment from a personal friend of one the employees, so he couldn't lower it more than he already had (which was equivalent to $3000).

) NS-2 I threw up in my mouth a little...
