Why did you remove the middle part of the pick guard? It was designed to fit that pup, and now you're stuck with an upper part that doesn't make much sense!

The othere mods seem pretty nice, btw. I'll retrieve my CV 50's wednesday from the luthier, who defretted it, put on an antique white pearl pg, and strung it BEAD (chromes). He told me she looks, sounds and plays nice
Hi! One question. I want to buy a CV 60 Precision in Fiesta Red, and replace the pickguard with a white one. Which one is a perfect replacement?

I had the idea to cut the pickguard like that, so I took off the guard and made a paper template to see what it would look like. I thought it looked awesome as did everyone else I showed. So I cut the pickguard.
Well, I ordered this bass this morning. Was thinkin' about addin' the sonic blue 60s to the order but it's no longer available and the fiesta red just doesn't do it for me. I think I'll be happy with this. Gonna swap out bridge with a vintage style 4 saddle one and put chrome covers on. Also flatwound strings. Can't wait! The only other decision is keep the black guard or see if a tort would look good...
Not my picture, but this bass looks awesome!
