Squier Classic Vibe Series,on website

I just brought back my MIM Sunburst P-Bass after a week (my hands just can't get used to P-Bass necks):crying: So since I traded my Steinberger in to GC and wanted a little inexpensive back up bass for my musicman sterling and that P-Bass didn't work. They put my $400 on a gift card and they ordered me the Classic Vibe 60's Jazz bass which I got next day shipping on but since it was around 5pm yesterday I'm guessing the order isn't going to come til sat afternoon. So i'll have impressions and pics then.:hyper:

Ok got my CV 60's Jazz today...I love it! The quality actually feels better than the VM 70's Jazz.
ATTACH] Did I mention it sounds amazing!

If I had the equip to do it i would, but like the "VM" series this "Classic Vibe" is the next big thing IMO. Just when ppl though that the quality of the "VM" series was all squire had...look again. You just have to feel it when you pick it up and play it. I've never pick up and american jazz so I can't say it compares to that but IMO it will make ppl think twice about picking up another $500-$1000 if they get ahold of this jazz. Now i'm wondering about the CV P-Basses....

Feels as slim as my MM Sterling aka pretty jazz standard neck c-shape is it? I forget, but it has a gloss finish neck like the jaguar if anyone is familiar with that neck they feel the same actually.:bassist:

50 P IMPRESSION:

My local mom 'n' pop store just got the 50's p in and all I can say is that it was OWNAGE!!! Barely any hum and an awesome tone out of the single coil!
I have found my second bass! :bassist:

Now to save up the cash for it...

starting at $40. goal: $400 (b/c case and tax)

Awesome! I am even more impressed since last night me and my new band i'm starting went into the studio to cut a demo with just 3 of our members (other guitarist was at work:crying:) So I decided to take the CV 60's Jazz...and man does that thing sound good. We went into the mixing room and my band mates were like "That is the $299 Squire sounding like that" and I just smiled because that made me feel really good about my purchase.:bassist:

IIRC, the Affinity Series Squiers (bottom of the barrel, the instruments found in their starter packages) have thinner than Fender spec body depths to make the instruments lighter for beginners.

The Standards, VMs, Artists, and CVs all have standard body dimensions. The variation in weight comes from the woods used in Squier's guitars which are usually local Asian variants of Alder, Agathis and Basswood. Other than that, the dimensions are identical to modern Fender spec.

I've had my white Squier 60s vibe for about a month now. Just used it last night at a gig. Maybe I just got a good one, maybe they are all like this. I'll tell ya', I've got a Standard MIM Jazz, A Geddy Lee Jazz, a new MIM 70s Jazz, I've had other non-US Jazz's and a few Ps, this Squier is hands down better than all of them. I don't care what the label says, this bass is now among my top 5, and I've got about 20 basses, mostly 3-5 times the cost of this one. Hats off to Squier.
