I dunno I have a really nice musicians friend bag someone threw in with a 60 dollar bass "you want the crappy bag" he says, just cause it has a rip on the outside of the neck showing thick foam. Inside is lined with fur and pouch big enough for everything except my amp head. Hell yeah I want the $60 fretless, the free pack of rs88's and the nice ass gig bag. It's kind of hard to go back to cases when the gig pouch holds so much stuff.

I took the neck off today after I took the tuners off to see if that corrected the neck dive. It did, but being that the stock tuners are about 85 grams it seems like it would be hard to save a lot of weight there and still stay with a clover. 1/2" ultralites would get you 3.5 oz off the head I guess. My stockers are same gear ratio 20:1. Anyone know what the mass is on resolites?
So yeah I took the neck off just to see if it was heavy but it is not. really tight pocket. Heavy body but can pick it up by the neck with no screws. The bolt holes inthe body are a little too small it seems cause the bolts thread into the body. I think this was a problem with Sx?

What is all the concern about neck dive? I let go of the Bass and it drops an inch or two. Solution?Brendan5 said:

It is beyond some people's imagination that someone would pull out a needle and heavy thread and spend 5 minutes stitching up such a rip.

This has been pretty much my experience with neck dive. It's never been a problem for me.

I think Neck Dive is a highly overspoken phrase on TalkBass.

Just to clarify, I'm talking about not having a problem with neck dive with any bass I've ever played, an EB-3L I once owned included, funny enough. I haven't played the Jag SS yet, but I'd be willing to bet I wouldn't experience it here, either.
It's a Breedlove padded guitar gig bag with a velcro-in (adjustable) neck support... don't have exact model. I'm pretty sure my husband got it at Guitar Center when he bought his dreadnought acoustic guitar.
Um, black with red embroidery/lettering on it. It's working really well for all my short scale basses, lol. Hubby will never get it back.

This Vox Hawk IV is the only other Short Scale I have owned (Hmmm, maybe the Jay Turser Violin Beatle Bass was SS too but I had to get Medium Strings for that so I'm not sure. I sold the JT to buy the SS Jag (Wife said 6 Basses was too much, but 100 pairs of shoes isn't?) Note the case that was made for it. LOL!
