I'd stick with the replacement. Although it doesn't look like a 'real' celluloid tort PG it at least doesn't look like a bad attempt at emulating one. The very "flat" looking (no depth) plastic pickguards that are really nothing but a painted on "marbled" faux finish don't look very attractive IMHO.
I am leaving it on the CV. I sold the original pick guard just recently and the other has been fitted to the SX project bass I'm working on. So all 3 tort guards have their fate sealed...
And since this pg is a Fender 62RI, I figure it is good enough for me, gives the look I wanted.
