I am leaving it on the CV. I sold the original pick guard just recently and the other has been fitted to the SX project bass I'm working on. So all 3 tort guards have their fate sealed...:D

And since this pg is a Fender 62RI, I figure it is good enough for me, gives the look I wanted.

here's mine.it's a bit of a bitsa squier so not sure if i qualify...

here's the list of bits-

squier body(agathis i think)
all parts neck
squier tuners
2009 fender jazz pickups(copper shield cavities)
gotoh 250k pots
added the thumbrest for looks
same the pickup cover
squier bridge
ernie ball coated strings(45-105)

i added some paper packing to set neck up perfectly.only has slight relief and action is super low.

i have a geddy and a rick also but this has quickly become my favourite player

I am applying for membership!

My b-day present was a(gently used) 2002 Squire P with rosewood fretboard,black body and plain white picguard.I am delighted with gal! The neck is quite slimer than the `98 American Standard P I played years back.Is the slimmer neck a characteristic of most Squires?My guitarist friend swears it`s not much thicker than his guitar!

Bassplayer5150,THAT`S my Squire!! (`cept mine is missing a tone pot) Handsome ax!

A great bass for this newbie! :)

We don't do the number thing here, we are non conformist and numbers were invented by Fender owners to keep us down man....

Yeah,man!!! Power to the Squiers,man!!! :D

I am missing the just the flat-top barrell knob for the tone control.Just ordered a pair of OEM Fender Squier knobs earlier.That`s really all she needs(besides a good polishing!).



Now...if I can just locate a picguard that fits... *sigh*

Just bought a new Affinity Bronco at GC: black/white guard, made in Indonesia.

My local GC gave me a free Fender strap with my purchase - I hope that doesn't diqualify me. :eek:

Yesterday, I bought my first Squire bass - a Bronco at GC (see my post above).

Today I stopped by the largest pawn shop in town just to check things out - not to buy. Well, there was this Squire Vintage Modified Jazz Bass in 10/10 condition for $200. These babies go for $300 new at GC and MF. They have "Duncan Designed" pups. I went home and checked out eBay and TB Classified and the cheapest one was $225 in 8/10 condition.



I rushed back to the pawn shop and bought the damn thing. All the guitar players in town know to look for good deals at this pawn shop so I knew this bass would not be there for long at that price.

Got hme, tuned her up and stated playin'. I was amazed at how good the sound is - almost as good as my $600 Schecter Diamond Elite C-4. IMHO, even new at $300, this bass is a great value - and real sweet lookin' too.

Hi all! Newcomer to the forum, but not a newcomer to owning a Squier. I previously owned a black Squier bass (w/white pickguard), but ended up selling it when I needed some cash. However, recently its' replacement arrived.

It's the wonderful Vintage Modified Precision bass in Olympic White, as seen elsewhere in this thread. It's a great bass, I'm totally in love with it. :)
