You barely know who Bush is? They were all over the radio/MTV in the 90s. Their singer was married to Gwen Stefani of No Doubt for years.

I think there are definitely people here who claim to know less than they do.

if you think i was watching MTV in the 90's you are mistaken. cable didnt even exist where i lived. 5, 7, 9 and 32 over the airwaves and that was it. dude in the 90's i was listening to rush and queen and getting made fun of for it. imagine telling everyone in high school nirvana was trash and queen rules. that was me. good times

yeah i knew of the bush dude as the guy who cheated on gwen because my wife watches the voice. but i couldnt name a bush song to save my life.

what i think everyone is failing to take into account is that this style of alt rock music is not listened to by everyone. and he seems to have a very narrow field of styles he recorded and if you dont listen to anything close to it you will know nobody except the few household names.

He also has recorded a lot of Jazz and R&B albums (Chicago studio), I'm just not as familiar with them. He doesn't exclusively work with any particular genre, he keeps his fees very low and will work with anyone.

Yep, I’d heard as much: that makes it wilder still.

Multiple times over a multi-decade career he’s declined multi-million dollar royalty payments solely out of principle.

Which makes a bunch of random people on the internet trying to trash talk him, because he said some tongue-in-cheek and some objectively true things about a band they like, all the funnier.
