It has the Cobalt flats in it. Those strings are cannons man. Serious steroid shot to your bass. These strings are gut punchers fo sho.
Yep, I really dig them and will have to put them on one of my SR5s and given ‘em a go.

Mmmmmm. Ok. LOL. I think I’ll try TI Flats then.

I have them on the one Stingray 5 but have TI flats on another and I’m trying to decide if I want to put the TI’s on another bass too.
But my big question is what strings to put on my fretless Stingray 5? I got it with LaBella White Copper flats on it. I like them but the output is really low.
What do you guys use on your fretless SR5’s?

I love TI flats on just about everything, but I had a set of cobalt flats on a fretless Ripper I had a while back and they were awesome. Imagine they would be a great choice on a fretless Ray 5, which is just an awesome bass to begin with. I’ve had excellent results on fretted rays with the group ii flats (are they even still made?).
But you can’t go wrong with the TI’s.

Wooohooo have to thank Brother @Bardolphus for helping me add the coveted SR5 H Special to my SR5 group. This beauty will be arriving later this week.
Congratulations on your classic awesome bassView attachment 3503599 View attachment 3503597 View attachment 3503595 What strings do folks here
prefer on your Stingray 5?
Just picked up that 88 Sr5 in the classifieds..(big thanks to Bardolphus!) killer sounding/playing Sr5.! Generally I love about any steel or nickel roundwound string by DR. or D’Addario.. most likely I’ll run 45-130’s,I just haven’t decided on which brand for my Stingray 5.
Looking at this thread...makes me want to hang on to my SR5vers tooView attachment 3505644 Played this at a gig yesterday for the first time. I've had it for about six months or so but I was hesitant to take it out because it's so fine. In fact I've had it up for sale here on TB for quite some time. Of course it sounded great and now I'm rethinking selling it. I do have two other SR5's but this one is special. Think I'll be keeping it for a while.....
