Yep, I really dig them and will have to put them on one of my SR5s and given ‘em a go.
I have them on the one Stingray 5 but have TI flats on another and I’m trying to decide if I want to put the TI’s on another bass too.
But my big question is what strings to put on my fretless Stingray 5? I got it with LaBella White Copper flats on it. I like them but the output is really low.
What do you guys use on your fretless SR5’s?

Elixirs here, but just tried the Daddario XTs on another bass and may give them a go.

I love TI flats on just about everything, but I had a set of cobalt flats on a fretless Ripper I had a while back and they were awesome. Imagine they would be a great choice on a fretless Ray 5, which is just an awesome bass to begin with. I’ve had excellent results on fretted rays with the group ii flats (are they even still made?).
But you can’t go wrong with the TI’s.
I have a set of Cobalt flats on a 20th Anniversary SR5 that I tune down to Eb for a band I play in. They sound like cannons man. I love them but they are a tad too stiff feeling for me but I can tolerate them at Eb.
But the TIs I have on two fretted SR5’s and they are perfect and are on the fretless as well.
You guys are making want to try some of those cobalt flats.

Here’s my honeyburst beauty before Friday night’s gig. I haven’t tried Cobalt Flats on it, but I’ve had Chromes on it for about 2-3 years (the same set) and it sounds fantastic. But, to be honest, it’s sounded fantastic regardless which strings I had on it. Different, sure, but always fantastic.
I’m blessed to have acquired the gear I have, but without a doubt my Stingray would be the last piece of gear I ever get rid of.
EDIT: Mine's a 2007, so it's got the ceramic pickups and the 3-band EQ. The pickups can sure be aggressive when I want them to, but it doesn't take much adjustment to make it warm and full - and that's how I usually have it set. I love pickup position 4 (inner coils) with the treble and mids tuned down a little. But when the bass tone needs to be the 800 pound gorilla in a song, position 1 with a little boost of the bass and mids turns it into that gorilla!
I've seen a lot of posts here on TB from people saying that the 3-band models just aren't the same as the 2-bands and only the 2-band gives you the true Stingray sound. I've never owned a 2-band so I can't say, but I can tell you this bass just sounds fantastic.

So nice to see all this activity. I truly believe the SR5 is a classic and that it’s fans are diehards. 
I’m so happy I found my Fretless but I’d still like to find an older unlined SR5 and also love to find an older trans or natural finish.

Thanks, it’s an awesome sounding & playing bass, has that unmistakable Stingray tone, the SR5’s are really impressive!
Edit: I ended up putting D’addario nickel roundwounds 45-130, & they are great!
