I thought there was an SR5 club around here somewhere, but maybe not...

I’m on my 4th one in 5 years...had a 98, a 99, a 2004, and my current SR5, a 2011 with the Alnico pups that MM starting using around 2008. This bass doesn’t quite have the snarl and growl of the earlier ceramic-pup models, but I’ve figured out how to make it bark quickly enough. I loved all of the SR5s, but I’ve grown especially close to this latest bass.

That's looks exactly like mine minus 1 humbucker. Mine is a 2008 5HH. Great bass with a KILLER B STRING. Enjoy it!

Even though the pickguard if my favorite difference of the Stingray 5 vs. the 4, it does look slick without one doesn’t it?

Looks like that may have flats on it. Been wanting to give them a try myself. I really like the Cobalt flats on my P5. Maybe I’ll order up a set.

It has the Cobalt flats in it. Those strings are cannons man. Serious steroid shot to your bass. These strings are gut punchers fo sho.
