Stingray 5 Club!

Question to the club: can someone please do a quick rundown on the years EBMM shifted from ceramic to alnico to unobtanium etc?

Many thanks!

Sure...

1988 - 1992: Alnico
1992 - 2008: Ceramic
2008 - 2018: Alnico (exception is the 30th anniversary bass, which is ceramic)
2018 (StingRay Special): Neodymium

I sold my last stingray (4 banger, honeyburst) in 2008 and have regretted it ever since.

I’m looking forward to ‘righting that wrong’

From 2000, which prompted my ceramic/alnico question above.

It will serve as the perfect tonal counterpoint (active/aggressive/velociraptor) to this bass, my current main squeeze, a reverend mercalli

Which is basically a hot-rodded P bass (warm/smooth/herbivore)

What a stunning bass. I love HB on the SR5 better than any other and the whit pickup cover and pg look awesome against that lovely rw board.
