Stoner / Doom Bassist Thread - Part 18

need a little help if theres any fender guys. im trying to sell my T-bird, i got a trade offer for a "Fender '59 P-Bass Reissue Custom Shop light relic". i did a little googling and it says these things go for like 3k new? is that possible/true?

would it be worth it to maybe flip the T-bird for this and try and sell this thing instead? somewhat intriguing.

Have you had any other serious bites on the T-bird? If not, and it's been a while for sale, I'd at least give it a good pondering.

Seems like Fender CS stuff keeps it's value.

I'd be weary that it's just a roadworn series instead...

+1 that CS holds value and in some cases, increases.

+1 that it may be a roadworn series. See if the serial number can be verified with Fender before making any moves.

Then you just have to decide what you'd rather look at, Gibby or F-word. I don't forsee either going down in value.

anyone who's legit selling a CS bass shouldn't feel awkward about you wanting to check the S/N on it.

Got the guy with the Sunn down to $280 but think that's as far as he'll go. That's a decent price right? Seller is an owner of a custom guitar shop so I'm excited to go pick it up.

You won't find a better 2-15" for the money, depending on actual condition of speakers. That cab is what made me attempt playing any kind of Doom/Stoner Rock in the first place. Beware though, if it is overbuilt like my Yamaha, it weighs around 150lbs.
