My guitar player has two JMP's. A 100w head and a 50w combo and a dual channel 800 he loves them all but the 100w amp is the current king. IMO the JMP is the Marshall tone.

Also yours is the early vertical input. they did a couple years with a horizontal input that are good too but when they started with the two channel then they went all gain with the 900 with the led clipping is when they started going down.
Yup, not a fan of the two channel 800s, the horizontal inputs ones are less desirable but there's no sonic differences they're just not built as well, PCB mounted parts and such...
Mine is also special as it has factory stock series half value resistors to bring it up to spec, really ****ing weird, gives it a different vibe than other 2203s I've played.
Tone is in the aftermarket chicken head knobs though

Yup I did the exact opposite. Too many guitar players, I didn't and still don't care about being recognized for being a bass player. I just always wanted everything to sound big and full. And of all people, I have lived my bass playing life by a gene Simmons quote, "If you don't have bass, you don't have heavy.". And that's how I have approached music ever since. I don't use dirt because everyone else does, it's because I'm a closet guitard and I like it dirty and I play chords like a guitar player and I beef up the song. Of all the gear I've had over the years, still have the green muff (in my avatar), My fall back song filler. I just love overdriven, distorted, loud tone. Weather it guitar or bass, I'll always have a fuzz. Traded a metal zone and $20 for the muff over 15 years ago, never looked back
So I took the Ric over to my guitarist's house before practice, and for the life of me I couldn't figure out what was wired "wrong" to be fixed. The pics I saw in that thread, the wires were spliced coming off the pickup so I figured that's where I had reconnected them wrong, but my pickup still has one long wire intact from the coil itself to the hot lead on the pot, so it is not wired wrong. At this point I'm just going to say **** it, because it sounds good and I don't care 
Been listening to alot of Bongripper lately. Really dig the Hail Satan, Worship Doom recording. Especially the 4:53 mark of the track Satan. That **** slays.
Recording our demo next Saturday in a super nice studio. Pretty excited to go in there and also have some quality tracks.
I'm going to see them up in Boston when they come through. Melvin's in two weeks also. Kinda bummed we just picked up a show on the same night as The Big Business show.

My brother got his for $200 a few years ago and it had NEVER been touched inside, and is in great shape. Wow.
Went to check out a gear flea market/trade show type thing with MikeD1687 today. It was nice being able to meet a fellow Doom/TB`er and nerd out with a like minded dude.
