laz, have you tried running the magma into the svt? i bet that would be sweet! if it sounds good, you could put it in a true bypass loop (super cheap on ebay) and use it as a sweet a$$ pedal setup.
The thing is with names you cant just go with the first one you come up with, it's gotta stick. We probably went through a couple hundred HIGHdeas before deciding on Brave Ulysses, yes it is a reference to Cream.
No hadn't tried anything like that. But honestly, bluebeard into SVT is the tone I love. It's what I used to have and I'm glad to have it again

I try to join bands that have a name already. At that point I don't care what it is. I'm just glad I don't have to think of one. But I'm constantly coming up with names for side projects and such.

My fake jazz/ blues trio: “The Pork Chop Express”
My fake ambient doom bancd: “ARQ with a Q”
My fake thrash band: “Grave Lust”
My fake death metal band: “Dejaculation” (I can’t take credit for this one)

I still got to put the tubes in my amp. Things got busy yesterday and I didn`t have the time. I did however get to take off the front and rear grills and clean up the inside a bit.

Does anyone make a fake fridge type of head & cab so I can hide my MarkBass head and compact 1x15" cab? I have tube amp envy.

No need to envy, my main gig rig is a genz shuttle and a 115. It gets way more action then the tube rig for the stoner band.
SVT-VR seems like its working great, but do you guys think it would be worth my time to take it to an amp tech while I'm under my 30 day return policy with GC?

I like my SVT CL but the damn thing breaks down all the time. Right now the bias turns red before the green light turns on and it just cuts off my amp. I re tubbed it and it worked for awhile but it's back to not working again. I wanna throw it off my roof most days. My Electric Amp has never had any issues but doesn't have the versatility so I've been hanging onto the SVT. I use the electric for all my heavy stuff, SVT for any thing rock related, and Mesa M6 for anything else like cover bands. If anyone is in the northern Wisconsin area and wants a cheap newer svt hit me up
I think maybe its the preamp tubes? I've trouble shoot it and still can't figure it out really. I love the amp with a mild OD pedal for pretty much anything thats not insanely heavy. I use it all the time for the millions of genres of rock. I really wish I could fix it but the mesa is slowly taking its spot
I suppose that would be the least of my image concerns if I was in a doom band, being short, portly, greying and bespectacled. LOL

Pimp, does the M6 have 2 channels? If it does can you run a Tech 21 VT, or something into the clean channel to emulate the SVT?
