Hey all, I've only been reading Parts 7 & 8 of the doom thread, but wanted to thank you all for turning me onto some great bands.
Now my question: would it be against the doom canon to play with a clean bass tone? I'm just not a huge fan of distorted/fuzzy bass (no reflection on the boatloads of guys who are).
Do whatever you think sounds best, but even "clean" I like a little grunt, not fuzz, but slight overdrive.
