aw hell, you guys talking about tube power amps is getting me going.
i'm about to pick up two Fender/Sunn 215 cabs for a PA setup and now i'm gassing hard for a boogie 400 stereo power amp to run into them.

I have one on my Peavey. I like it. The bass definitely feels a lot more resonant and alive now than it did before I did all the mods, but that might just be the rest of the setup.
Just got a Baby Quasar. Pretty cool, lots of different sounds out of it. It will likely kick the Psilocybe off the board but I still want to try the Whetsone and the 4MS Phaseur...oh the Phun you could have with the Phaseur
You are going to need to be stoned to deal with Bubbles stealing your carts all the time.
how much did that Strategy 400 Stereo run you? considering putting together an all-tube PA system for my band but need to work out costs in NZ!

I lucked out at my job. When I was hired part of the union contract stated no drug testing. Then about 3 weeks later that contract expired and they started testing all new employees. That was a close call!

just seems like a total invasion of privacy and anti-american if you ask me. Personally as long as you are not under the influence during your paid hours an employer should have no right to ask for drug tests.

Yeah those bridges look dangerous. You could live in PA and wonder if you're going to plummet to your death in the comfort of your own car on a near daily basis. And if they fix the bridges, prepare to have your commute completely screwed for the unforseeable future.
Just last week we were on the way to the car dealership and went over a bridge that was ridiculously uneven. My wife was like "Yeah this seems safe...".
I grew up in Northeast Pa, used to play on the broke down old bridge going over the Susquehanna River. The bridge I cross everyday is being redone, half of it is missing and both lanes must take turns using the other side, my old lady says the same thing going over that bridge
Sure is messed up, hopefully more States will follow suit with Washington and Colorado and the Country at least gets that messed up part squared away. I seriously thought of looking for jobs in Canada after finishing my degree
My thoughts exactly Sam! My employer has me for 7.5 hours a day(I don`t get a paid lunch break),during which I work for them and get paid for it. That`s it.
I don`t understand the line of thinking where it`s OK for a employer to dictate what I can and can`t do during my off hours. Like Sam said in the previous post,it`s an invasion of privacy and very anti-american.

So would you have an issue with an employer doing a criminal background check? Is that considered an invasion of privacy?
Eh, I'm iffy on that one. I take less issue with that one. Its hard to give a blanket yes or no. I think it is an invasion of privacy, but one that is necessary in some cases. I'd consider that a completely independent issue. Sure does seem like you give up a lot of privacy and freedom just to apply for a job.
I'd argue that if you were found guilty of a crime and served whatever punishment was deemed worthy for that crime, you shouldn't be punished again when applying for a job. At the same time, there are certain jobs like teachers, day care, etc that seem like you should always have background checks.
drug tests are often mandatory in new zealand for extremely physical and extremely dangerous (to yourself and others) work - forestry, mining, high-rise scaffolding, building etc. not for regular jobs though.
I have the original, so keep that in mind. Tone for guitar is ungodly (awesome). Tone for bass is heavily mid-scooped, so you can get really bassy fuzz, or really tinny fuzz, but you can't get a midrange fuzz. I still have it on my board though, because I use it for the bassy fuzz sound, and run a second set of pedals into my amp (dual-input amp) to provide the mids I need to fit into the mix.
That being said, the new version of the pedal is way more tweakable, including the trim pots inside. If you get in there and go to work, people say you can get some great tones out of it for bass. Read/search some threads in the effects forum for setting suggestions.
