Stoner/Doom Bassists 54: Big Cabs and Nerd Bombs

I think I actually know who this guy is, and it might be the same guy that Toastfuzz and I were laughing about when he posted an ad looking for a bassist, saying they have to have long hair, vintage Gibsons, all tube amps, etc etc. There's a lot of stuck up pretentious musicians around here, but I think every city has those.

This is a very good ad. If I was into heavy music and was a drummer, I would be crapping myself I would be so excited to answer this ad.

Id answer that ad. Simple yet informative, lets me know exactly what your looking for.

+100. Has the vibe that you guys are serious and have your shvt together but have a good sense of humor.

Thanks for the feedback. I figured it was okay, too. But the ad Laz posted made me question what I was putting out there haha.

It's weird, when John posted a similar ad, he got tons of responses...when I posted it, I think I got something like three? Two guys that never responded to my follow up email, and one from a 17 year old kid. :rollno:

This is too much for me to handle on a Tuesday. Still laughing.

Found your drummer...

For those with El Oso pedals. I am just curious if my pedal is working right, it seems like a clean boost until I have the gain all the way up till 3pm or so, is it the same way for you? I mean it is really heavy then and a fun sound but until then I don't more than clean boost.

Hmm...that doesn't sound right at all.

I just got word that mine is on it's way back to me as we speak. I need to get reacquainted with it.

Yeah I think it is jazzed up, but I know a lot of guys use it as a boost so thought maybe that is how it acts until you crank it. But the youtubes vids I saw seem like they have gain at lower settings than I have to use, I wonder if there is an internal trim pot or if it is just jazzed up.

Since I traded mine, I don't have my settings anymore... :(

Sorry.

I want to say I had mine at around 2 or 3 o'clock as well. But, it wasn't clean. It added a small amount of hair, little by little.
