This guy must think he is Terry Bozzio or something, lol
Fxck that guy, seriously that's a case of "look at me I don't ever move my set myself."

They sound like a bunch of pretentious douchebags. Desert psych but we hate kyuss. Can't figure that one out. Also: since when is image a factor in this kind of music? **** those guys .
Yeah I shouldn't say clean, how you explained it, little by little hair , then all the sudden a huge amount of gain. Maybe I ended up with the one you sold, lol
Lmao

Ok. No more craigslist. Today.
If Sam already ditched it, maybe...
I didn't notice any major swell on mine though...
Lifetime warranty if you have to go that route.
I renewed our CL ad and added a few things after the atrocity we witnessed last night with my friend's tryout. So disappointing that he wasn't as good as he lead me to believe.

definitely a douchy ad, but two things:
- they dont like clutch which is a plus (lol)
- image is HUGE in this scene despite what people want to think. beards, flannel shirts, vintage gear, smoking pot, singing about pot, having long hair, generally looking homeless lol - all stoner image.
i agree its lame theyd write that as some sort of pre-req for being in their group, but stoner bands have a look that obviously these dudes are going for.
dude i feel your pain on bad drummers. before we found our current guy, the dude that came out before him was literally the worst drummer ive ever heard in my entire life, and ive seen lots of bad drummers. this dude could not keep a beat. enter sandman was outside of his realm. told us he was into doom and stoner sludge stuff, then talked about triggering and sound replacing his kit for recordings. also had like an 18 inch kick drum lol. we actually ended up kinda laughing at him cause it was so insanely bad. ive never prayed for a jam session to end so quickly.
first thing we did was call our previous drummer who had to quit and tell him we hated him so badly for putting us through that haha. but keep looking man, someone will pop up.
Awesome!!! Wish I could of been there.
Hey Laz...

lol during the audition from hell last night, I actually texted the old guy that ditched us to move to Indiana (w t f, right?:scowl: ) with "I hate you" haha. I actually think I might have pissed him off, because he stopped responding to my texts after a couple, teehee.![]()
I think that the stoner image you describe is definitely real and some people may strive to achieve it. I think it started out as just dudes in comfortable clothes and somehow turned into uniform of sorts.
However, lots of bands don't fit that mold. Bongripper is a good example. I dont have a beard, don't use vintage gear, and have short hair. My drummer is the same way.
I guess it just bothers me because the whole stoner doom movement started out being anti image and unpretentious. Now there's d bags posting ads requiring you look a certain way to be in their band.
It's no skin off my back and obviously anyone who doesn't like it can avoid those types of people. It just seems like these guys are sort of missing the point.
That's my take on it anyway...

Image is not huge in this scene. I severely disagree. Music is huge in this scene.
I can't believe guys who can't play would even show up to audition. I have been playing guitar and bass for years and I still fight a bit shyness when playing in front of people. But to not be able to play and try out, that is just fVcked
