Once I get my new SB5000 in quilted maple finish with gold hardware, I can start wearing purple double breasted suits to auditions and gigs.

Ha ha priceless. I actually helped a black guy pick his first bass, he was a drummer, but wanted to play bass in his church. I talked him in to a pj. I said you can just about play anything on a p, but the j will let you sing those lines when you want. I soloed the brdige pup and rolled the tone off and did my best attempt at Jaco sillyness, his eyes lit up, yeah yeah, then I soled the P for some rock and he was yeah yeah, then I rolled the tone off on the P for some motownish stuff, and more smiles. I sold him on the pj for sure, not to generalize but I knew what he wanted. I said lots of Gospel guys like that low B to fit in with horns and what not, but dude start with a four string first.

Well, since Carvin endorsers are supposedly either all gospel players or metalheads...figured I'd just swap up the conventions.

I just like the idea of seeing a picture of myself, with a snazzy 5 string, wearing a purple suit, making a "sweet riff agony" face...and below it says "Bass, Decrepit Goat Fetus".

When I still lived in Pa and had my Harley I would go to the different bike nights around town, and my buddies took it so serious. Leather and black t-shirts, one even wore a awful leather vest. So of course I found the oldest vintage beat up candy apple red helmet, and stuff for sport bikes instead of cruisers, etc, and they were like embarassed and the more embarassed they got the better I liked it, I would always take my time, parking the bike and taking gear off so they would get ahead of me and the gayest voice I could muster would say GUUUUUZZ, Wait For Me, GEEEEZZZZ!!!

lol You'd fit right in around my family, with that sense of humor. We're big practitioners of the humor of intense social awkwardness.

Oh social awkwardness is a favorite of mine, I think when you end up in a conversation with someone with a lazy eye, and you try so hard not to concentrate on it, but it is rude not to make eye contact, and then you are always thinking which eye should I be focusing on, which one do they consider their good eye, and then you get lost in it and then you have no clue which one is the right one, because of course they change up on you, but the whole time I keep thinking Joe enjoy this, this my man is a very special moment right here, and just enjoy the ride
The Lazy Eyes
that would be a good name for a band come to think of it

Sub.

(Wow, you guys are posting fast)

Here's a teaser of my band's new material, figured you guys could enjoy it. Matamp inside !

Welcome to the only TB thread that matters. I was digging your rig, can't wait to check the band stuff. Welcome.

And yeah, this thread moves real fast. Skipping big gaps of read versus unread, is encouraged. Unless you are working 9-5 and are bored. (that's partly why it moves so fast)

Welcome!

Backline rental amp fried at rehearsals today...thought they were gonna send me an SVT2 (non Pro)...when it got to rehearsals, it was a SVT2 Pro...very sad day. I thought the Non Pro 2's were amazing amps, the 2Pro's are complete crap, IMO
