Stoner/Doom Bassists #64 - sensitive artsy emo chicks

Yeah I have messed with P90s equipped guitars at GC, but they always seem to have so much treble and noise. Why don't you buy some GFS crunch mini-humbuckers for it, they have the rings to make them fit right in P90 slots. Here is a youtube video of a going who slapped them in his Firebird and they sound killer and are cheap too. I think some mini-humbuckers get int he P90 tone realm, plus you can always split the coils too.

Lol nah my epiphone was the $89 guitar center special. I put a tusq nut on it other than that I might stick some aluminum foil in it to keep out alien transmissions. After that the next modification will be smashing it in unbridled rage. I like the sound of it and I'd make it nice if it wasn't for the fact that any mod I do to it is worth more than the guitar.

Go to guitarfetish and go nuts with cheap mods

Yeah Jason if you like the guitar, GFS pups are dirt cheap.

Anyone here ever mess with an Earthquake Devices Bit Commander? I love the vids of it, but haven't seen any vids with it used with bass. Seems cool and versatile. One Octave down, two cctaves down, octave up, Bit Crusher stuff, and even a nice overdrive with the octaves turned off.

Thanks Corey. Soon enough. I'll have to get some clips of the rig and with the Megalith and Wizard Fuzz.

That would be killer. One of the things I'm really looking forward to is trying out the Cthulhu and Wizard fuzzes into the amp Nick is going to make me, through dual 215's. I'm going to have to wait a season or two for that though.

I might do it if my grunge band with doom/stoner overtones ever makes it anywhere. The wife wants our project to be grunge, I want it to be doom/stoner, I decided I'm going to play doom/stoner and make her think it's grunge. Right now it just sounds like loud walls of Bluebeard fuzz. Trying out some guy tonight actually.

Mostly going to be changing around my pedals and doing some updates in the guitars/basses. First up is going to be the pbass plan on shielding it, replacing all the electronics and putting some other pickup in it tbd, put in a tusq nut, etc.
