I've used the MultiDrive quite a bit, and I think it might just be what you're looking for. I think it nails the subtle overdrive thing, but it can also get more aggressive if you crank it. It also seems to interact with the amp a lot, not like a BDDI who just stomps its tone all over every amp (IMO :))

I kinda had problems with getting a little lost in the mix, but that was before I had my second box and well, 200W @ a 2x12 isn't that much. Now it's a different matter.

dilemma!

i truly can't work out what kind of amp head i want, as i really don't have the resources in nz to test out a variety of models. i know i need 200 or 300 watts of tube, preferably KT88s. i'm sorted on cab, i'm sorted on bass, i'm sorted on 3/6 pedals - as soon as our recordings are up, i'm gonna see what you guys think and what kind of head you'd recommend. i'm missing my bluebeard, hpf-pre and delay/verb - but you'll get the gist.

Also, this is totally not doom but I can definitely see some nifty applications.

IIRC, the lowest string is an octave below the low B you'd have on your average 5-stringer. And HNNNGH at the grooving part in the middle.

A lot of the programs we use were made when IE6 came out and utilize program jumps to IE6 to host internal procedures. So, I could right click on something on my screen, and know all I need to know about it. Rather than update the systems (which will happen eventually), to save costs we just keep using the old technology. It's not a big deal until you want to go online. My job isn't as cool as some of you guys. But at the end of the day, this is still a nice paying phones job. Just not what I want to make career out of.

Any body use a P/J set up? Any decent P/J pup sets out there? I have a SX P/J I bought last year for $40. And I'm wanting to use it. The P poles stick out and rip my finger up. Sure I could move my resting position, but I don't wanna.
I guess I could pull the pup out and stuff some plastic in it to level the poles out with the pickup cover.

I've got a Fender Modern Player Jag bass that has the stock P/J set in it. For cheapo pickups they sound amazing, so i picked up another set from ebay for like 10 bucks so i could throw the p-pickup in my p-bass so the two atleast sound near identical. I actually prefer their tone to the active EMG's in my P, but I have a love/hate, back and forth relationship with the EMG in my P.... One night it will sound amazing at practice, another night i just wanna throw the bass against the wall hahaha maybe I'm just bi-polar
