Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread Part 28: Chicken Pot Pie

Picks, strings.

I found a mess of sub $20 pedals. Found a Phaser and a few other things. Guess I was wondering about any decent jewels in the el cheapo range. But yeah, a stand and a panel to cover the final space in my four space rack. Found a power conditioner for $14. Just letting my imagination go with this $20. Won't help me decide. Thats where you guys come in. lol. :D

You guys see Foo Fighters are going on a long term hiatus? I'm hoping this means Grohl makes some more interesting music :P

as solid as the foo fighters are, ive just never been able to get into them. their music does next to nothing for me. if its on the radio i wont turn it off, but nothing makes me want to listen to more than a song or two. i even own two of their albums and im not sure ive ever made it all the way through without just going meh.

that said, nirvanas two albums with him (cause incesticide is just random junk) are so friggin awesome.

Never a real foo fighters fan, but I was always surprised how they almost have like a single every few months it seemed.

for $20 some of those little 6" connector cables with the life time warranty are good to have.

Got my classic 60/60 cleaned and new fuse, need to find a good classic 100 or bigger, this 60/60 sounds good but two channels with no bridge that have to be on is a odd design.

Dunwich when you get on, what kind of power could you get out of an amp based on one KT88/KT120? Also how small could you make it? master volume, simple EQ. Was thinking of something that'd fit on top of a vertical array of four 10's.

Wow, things really drop down when you go to class A. I was thinking like 50-60 watts.

That explains those like micro tube heads like the pico valve where it can take any tube but only generate like 5-10 watts.

its a very inefficient power amp but sounds nice. I have 1 EL34 SE amp, nice for dirt tones but not much clean headroom

I think Foo Fighters are great at what they do. (Pop songs with crunchy guitars.)

That said, I think they have lost some steam over the last 2 albums.

Never really like Them Crooked Vultures all that much. Sounded like the standard mash-up of styles/songwriting many "supergroups" suffer from.
