Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

I guess I'd just get green onion and double up on the hand portion of the roll.

Does it cost more if I only want right meat?

You mean like chicken? I bet if you just closed your eyes you would like raw tuna.

250 pages since last I checked.... I'm not going to catch up. I hope I didn't miss anything too important.

Speak of the gawdamn devil, and he shows up to make the 20K post. :woot:

It was a joke double the amount of hand meat on the roll, only want right meat... I'm a dork

It's the concept of fish the smell and look of a fish is terrible from an eating standpoint, I dig aquariums.

I suffer from the opposite of el Raros avoidance of cute animalS. I can't help but think cute fluffy animals taste better than some slimy bottom feeder.

I'm with you there. Can't do fish or seafood unless its been deepfried to the point where it tastes like fried batter and then covered in chicken salt. The smell of the ocean is what gets me. Worst meal I ever had was from my inlaws. They made a traditional Spanish bean and seafood stew with chunks of sardines. I've never struggled to down a meal until I came across that.

Tears.

Chicken salt sounds really unhealthy, like ramen noodle flavor packets.

Weirdly, I'll eat lobster, crab, shrimp, scallops, mussels and clams. Never had an oyster though. Those other animals have ocean taste but it's largely muted by cooking or its a different flavor being a different animal.

Fish smell the same alive, dead or rotting, and the taste of fish is pretty much that too. Fried fish doesn't taste as bad, but I still avoid it as it's basically weird flaky chicken by that point. Cephalopods count as fish to me.

Fuqing texas... Fish shouldnt smell. Same as pu$$y.

What were you doing there? My really good friend is Ecuadorian and always telling me funny stories of the ghetto stuff he lived through in his old town.

I'd eat a cui, or any mammal cooked properly. Fried works fine. Fish I don't eat.

I did eat part of a raunchy stingray in Malaysia though once.

I was visiting my sister while she was studying at the university in Quito for a year. Spent two weeks traveling with sis, her host family and other exchange students. It was a lot of fun, and a huge eye-opener.

Oh, it is. But that's part of why it tastes so good. Chicken salt makes everything better. EVERYTHING.

I don't mind canned tuna if its mixed with some crazy flavours like curry or tomato & basil. Anything that will mask the majority of the tuna's inherent fishy taste & smell enough to help me swallow it. I can't do plain tuna - not even with mayo or simple sauce.

I just realised I must look like the pickiest eater alive.

Allot of the fish out of the gulf smell. Especially ones west of the Mississippi river. You know, the river everybody dumps their sewage in?
East of the river isn't as bad but really your splitting hairs there.

I guess I can buy that, but I dont eat fish that smells. If it smells, it is bad. That is my professional opinion, based on the large pile of fish I cut and served over the past couple months.

See I dont eat anything that smells (or serve it for that matter). I get salmon from Alaska daily, fresh tuna in every other day, live lobsters from maine, clams, mussels, and scallops that are still alive. On top of sword fish, perch, walleye, whitefish, and grouper. All fresh.

Funny that, my Peruvian mate came over a couple weeks ago and I showed him the pigs. I pointed at each pig (three of them) and proceeded to count "Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner". He dare not touch my piggles.

I don't think I could ever bring myself to eat a guinea pig and not just because I have them as pets. They are effectively rodents and something about eating rodents grosses me out - even rabbit. Might have something to do with the fact I worked in pest control briefly and got swarmed by filthy rats in an abandoned property and had to get an ugly tetanus shot.
Dad's eaten guinea pig while backpacking around South America but would never eat it again. We don't eat them in Uruguay but the more central South American countries love it.

BUT SERIOUSLY HOW COULD YOU EAT A FACE LIKE THIS?

Different strokes for different folks, but I ain't eating no guinea pig.

The beaches near Tampa are know for fried grouper sandwiches. So damn delicious. I can get down in pretty much all seafood. It's becoming less safe though. Japanese Radiated fish!

Nothing a multiquote or two can't fix...

You just have to know what you are eating, easier for me I guess since I see it as it comes in, and I am getting it from guys I trust.

Wait, you guys were talking about me? :eyebrow:

No. I'm not going through five times the number of pages that threads used to be allowed to be.

Anyway, Catapult's writing new stuff now. Got a couple gigs lined up for the 8th and the 14th of February. That's right. Valentine's Day. Truly, we are a band for romance.

As to oldness.... I turn 28 next month. I've also looked at the back of my head in the mirror and decided that my long hair days are going to end pretty soon, sadly.

As to replaceability... oddly enough, I don't think we could replace the lead vocalist in Catapult. It's kinda his band, in a way. Which is weird, as I didn't expect that. Me? I'm totally replaceable. I know a few people who could do my job as well or better than I do. The guitarists like some of the riffs I come up with, though. So that's a point in my favor.
