Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

I guess I better talk about a bass for a change LOL. I used a telecaster and a jazz bass wiring schematic as a guide to wire the Jazzguarbird. I couldn't find a two pup, wired to a master volume, three way telecaster switch, and jack in one diagram. So looking them over last night I think I swapped the hot from from the switch and hot form the jack to the volume pots opposite lugs of each other. Because it was different on each diagram. Fingers crossed that is what I did and I will get my ground back and be less noisy after the swap back.

It could be dangerous, but you could post in the Pup and electronics sub forum. Just show them your build and ask for ideas.

I found a schematic for two humbuckers, 3 way selector, master volume, no tone on Seymour Duncan yesterday so that should do the trick. Also found one for just one pup to a master volume only and they showed the same lugs used. When there is a tone pot in the mix the lug uses change from when there is no tone pot it seems. I still have the parts coming to shield it too but think it is a ground issue since touching metal stops it. So I will try that first before going to the darkside of TB LOL. Damn those Gibby pups do sound good when I make ground though.

This is pretty much correct. I love fish and could be a pescaterian if I could afford the fish and the Mercury damage (love me some swordfish). Not all fish tastes the same... not by a longshot. Salmon, bluegill, tuna, halibut, grouper and paddle fish all have very different tastes. Kind of how turkey and chicken taste nothing alike. That opinion makes me think your experience with fish was limited to fish sticks and poorly cooked meals. @CL400Peavey is totally right... fish, like the pink, shouldn't smell. And finally, from someone who doesn't like fish I am amazed to hear you say that you will eat canned tuna. That stuff DOES smell like a raunchy vajay.

Bring on the tuna steaks, sushi, fried fish, fish tacos and mexican seafood cocktail(if you've had the good fortune to try some).

I could almost give up all other meat for fish, if I could afford to do it right.

But then someone would have some bbq port or brisket or home made kielbasa. And I would rampage and eat it.

My dads the same way, would make me and mom try his seafood anywhere we ate and it's always the same. Not 100% as salmon grilled on a cedar plank isn't the same as a soggy fried catfish fillet, but the base line flavor is the same. Moral of the story is ill try your fish, and I won't like it, but even if I did wouldn't change my overall feelings.

In other news, this guy I know traded me this device for burning down trees. I've never seen one like it and can't find another, no markings on the thing. Batteries are from London Drug, so maybe canadian.

It's basically a glass bowl socketed into a PC fan and you light it and hit a bitto. And whoosh! It shoots it like Ray gun blast out to you or where ever you aim it.

There's only one food I will not eat, hate, doesn't matter how you cool it, green/string beans. Something about the texture. I will cook them fresh and get lots of compliments, taste them while I'm cooking to make sure they're ok, spit it out and wash my mouth out. Always hated them since day one, it's the only picky eating thing I never grew out of and I wasn't a very picky eater as a kid. Everything else is in play...raw oysters, squid, fish, all kinds of sushi, all kinds of veggies and fruits, game meats, stinky cheese. I'm a pretty adventurous eater overall or at least open to trying things.
